Went for brunch on a Sunday and waited around 20 minutes, which is actually normal for this place. I’ve been here before, so I already knew what to expect, good food, big plates, and that lively vibe inside.

We ordered the Bobby Does Dallas and another brunch plate (don’t remember the exact name), plus two lattes. Everything was tasty, fresh, and well-seasoned, classic L’Avenue style. Portions were generous, and the mix of sweet/salty on the plate always works here.

The place has its usual colorful graffiti walls, loud-but-fun vibe, and friendly service. It’s the kind of brunch spot you go to when you want something filling and flavorful, not something minimalist.

Overall, another good experience. Worth the wait if you’re in the mood for a heavier brunch.

⭐ 4.6/5 — Tasty food, energetic vibe, and solid plates every time.

10/10. SO GOOD. Food portions are SO good for your money, need to come back because there were too many great things on the menu. The service was so great and the atmosphere of the place had such a cool concept.

Hands-down the best breakfast I’ve had in ages. Fresh-squeezed OJ mimosas, incredible flavours, and food that honestly tastes Michelin-level. Went with my son and we instantly became loyal customers. New favourite spot — highly recommend!

Even though it was really packed we got really good service. Our waiter was very attentive and suggested good choices for us! Got our food and drinks at a reasonable time and it was delicious. I got the peaches and cream and it was super good but I wanna get the huevos rancheros for next time for a more savoury meal. Would recommend!!

Absolutely horrible experience. Yes—the environment looked decent at first and the presentation was nice, but don’t let that fool you. Thirty minutes after eating their Eggs Benedict, my boyfriend became violently sick with what was clearly food poisoning. He spent 12 straight hours puking, drenched in sweat, shaking with chills, completely unable to function.

This wasn’t some random stomach ache—this was severe illness, and it’s hard not to blame the restaurant’s contaminated food or filthy prep conditions. The place was chaotic, overcrowded, and honestly looked dirty the moment we walked in. That should’ve been our warning.

This nightmare ruined our entire trip. We had to book a second Airbnb last-minute because he couldn’t stay where we were, costing us hundreds of dollars we never planned to spend. Instead of enjoying Montreal, we spent the day dealing with nonstop vomiting and trying to keep him hydrated.

I genuinely wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Save yourself the risk—there are plenty of restaurants in Montreal that won’t send you to the bathroom for 12 hours straight. Avoid this place at all costs.

Amazing food and huge portions for the price. Neither my partner or I could finish and yes we ate the leftovers because it was that good. Worth the wait.

Brought my daughter for breakfast to celebrate her 19th birthday. The food here is fantastic, as are the serving staff. I could not finish my meal it was so large, a first for me!!! Lol.

Great place for a fancy breakfast-type meal, will definitely come back again when I am in the area!!

Fantastic spot for a quick brunch with something for everyone. The menu offers plenty of choices and there's sure to be something for every taste. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend choosing the baguette for your bread—it’s delicious!

I don't understand the big hype for this place. Overpriced for the food quality. I went for brunch and my poached eggs were overcooked. I asked for new ones and they came overcooked again.

Breakfast was so amazing, they had great options for eggs benedict that were creative and delicious. The shakshuka was also awesome and their drinks and smoothies were also top notch. The service was excellent and our waitress was so funny and welcoming we had a great time. We even went back the next day because it was so good.

Angel, our server, was amazing! The service and the food were both incredible. I highly recommend trying the Benedict and the meat toast and the pistachio latte was on another level of good!

I’ll 100% come back if I visit Montreal again.

We had a 7-day vacation starting from Montreal, then Quebec City, and finally Ottawa, and tried at least 14 different restaurants and L’Avenue was THE BEST!

Just a heads-up: it’s totally normal to wait in line here, especially in a city like Montreal where people love eating out. Definitely worth the wait!
