I really wanted to like this place but was so disappointed in the food. Did I even go to the same place as the recent reviewers? because my Bun was so bland. There was no garnishing (no mint, cilantro, not even any peanuts!). I just had some very thin slices of cucumber, carrot and lettuce. The only flavouring I had was the sauce, and even that was very mild. What was interesting was that my two companions ordered pho, but they weren't given any basil with the garnishing side dish, only bean sprouts and lime wedges. But the table next to us got basil with their pho! Why did they cheap out on us with the garnishing? We ordered drinks with our meal and the other table didn't even order drinks. I don't understand. On the plus side, the restaurant is well situated in the Plateau, the service was friendly and our food was prepared very quickly. It was also nice to get a table for a Friday evening walk-in. But it can't help the disappointing fact that my Bun was so meh and minimal.

A great place for a cosy lunch while exploring Outremont on a sunny but chilly day. Truly enjoyed the Pho and Bin dishes and the lunch special was a great deal. The service was wonderful. Highly recommend!!

I'm trying this eatery for the first time (Le Bay Café). Every dish was wonderful. The sauce was excellent. The special Pho was delicious. One of Montreal's best Pho, in my opinion. The service was timely and of high quality. I shall return once again

Hands down the BEST Banh Mi's I've ever tried! Had Banh mi all over the United States, Southeast Asia, and Canada and Le Bay Ca Phe absolutely SMACKS! 👏👏 I recommend the Torched Beef Flank. Buttery smooth & juicy. The bread was crispy and has a nice crunch to it. The marinade spread was beautifully executed throughout the entire sandwich. Has a generous layer of marinade spread without it overpowering the banh mi. Ingredients tasted fresh, portion is good, and I will be coming back the next time I visit Montreal. Also, the service was great, she did a fantastic job being attentive to our table.
Nice place, atmosphere and delicious food. We tried the spicy and non-spicy stir fry - both yummy and good portions, with tasty sauces and lots of veggies.
