Le Café Du Marché

After a quick trip to the market, I was feeling a little hungry so I went home. And I saw their menu having several lunches and varying dishes. I decided to order the pesto chicken panini which cost around $10. I thought it was a little expensive but oh my god it's worth it the panini is not too big nor too small. We taste all the ingredients! I would come back to eat for sure! The service is incredible and the atmosphere is very beautiful with the market right opposite.

The iced matcha latte I ordered was good, but the matcha was mixed very poorly so I had a lot of chunks in the bottom.

Went in for a coffee, was thinking to get a croissant ? but found flies ?rolling all over the pastry. The owner yelled at me for me telling them not to sell contaminated food to customers. What an attitude for people who serve food to the public…

My partner and I went here bright and early on a Sunday morning before our flight home just to check out the market and grab a small bite to eat. We got a really tasty Breton apple treat that I'll include in my pictures below.

It was a surprisingly good and comforting warm treat on a cold Sunday morning.

We had a great time at this place. Food was excellent. The lady who works there made us a custom sandwich, with some amazing bread, cheese and veggies.

Very disappointed today with the customer service... I really liked this coffee, but my experience with the lady at the cash register was very humiliating; I ordered a VEGAN breakfast sandwich, but received a regular breakfast sandwich. I went back to the checkout to ask for a change, but the cashier was rather stubborn about the fact that I wouldn't have told her that I wanted the vegan version. I politely insisted that I don't eat non-vegan food, but in front of all the customers, she continued to defend herself.
It's a shame... rotten customer service. It seems like it was easy to ask me to change my sandwich! In the end, I lost my money and didn't eat anything ?

The café is very well located a few minutes from the market. The coffees we had were okay. The service was courteous. On the other hand, it clearly lacked cleanliness inside.

I went during summer and I got a breaksfast with a iced coffee. The food is okay but the prices are clearly exagerated. Probably a tourist trap honestly. Small quantity of ingredients used in my bagel. However the coffee was the worst. Took a small and it was the size of a sample. Added oat milk for a big price. I mean pictures don't lie and i'm not even tall. Disapointed overall in this practice. The marché is a beautiful place. Seems like we take advantage of tourism with their difference to our money rate. the pictures of the menu available on google are of course not up to date.

I mean I am not even a tourist and even ordered in french so maybe I would have added a star for the decency of telling me the coffe would be a 2 sip kinda thing. Anyway, there are incredible cafés in Montréal we can do better.
