The food is good but the service is very disorganized, we waited 40 minutes for a smoothie and a coffee and the cafeteria was almost empty. We cleared the table before sitting down because no one came to serve us... and when we left we did the same because someone else was going to sit down and we knew that plates and glasses could remain there for a long time...

I give 4 stars because the place is great if you like live music and just want to have a coffee.I was quite disappointed with the kitchen. The smoked salmon bagel was really very basic and the bagel itself was very dry. The accompanying bread on the omelette was burnt and black. Quite disappointed to have waited 25 minutes for something so classic.The chai latte was good and not too strong and the atmosphere was very nice!

Any visit to Montreal must include a trip to Le Dépanneur Café. Best café to visit friends, cozy up with a book or catch some live music. This place is an absolute staple of the Mile End (plus the coffee and baked goods are delicious!)
