Le Elsdale is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel your other plans. The lemon Italian rice ball was crispy, bright, and addictive—if they sold them by the dozen, I'd be broke. The olives were the perfect salty opener, setting the stage like seasoned pros. And the scotch collection? Let’s just say I suddenly understood the meaning of “spoiled for choice.”

It’s the kind of spot that feels like a well-kept secret… which I now regret telling you about.

Really great spot to grab lunch! Service was courteous, attentive and prompt. The food is fresh and delicious. One thing I must highlight is their carrot cake on the dessert menu. It’s literally the best carrot cake I’ve had in my entire life. I’m definitely going back again!

Waiter and manager gave me seats at the bar upon entry without telling me they were reserved, they were happy to seat me there but then 20 min later when they saw I didn’t order food lied to me about the fact that the bar seats I was sitting at was reserved and I needed to leave in 20. Snobby and pretentious behaviour. I paid the bill and stayed and no one ever came to my seat. Resto was emptying out. Classless behaviour on their end.

Delicious brunch, delicious coffee. You can reserve on weekends, which helps with a toddler. There's a changing table available! Recommend!

This was a perfect experience on all accounts. I want to come back and try ALL their brunch dishes. And the mimosas are no ordinary mimosas... they are quite refined!

Excellent food, impeccable service. Great, unpretentious place :) I had a great time there for Sunday brunch.

Vegetarian options: I saw some veggie choices on the menu

Kid-friendliness: Children were present (Sunday brunch)

I came to Le Elsdale alone and dined at the bar. Everything was delicious, the staff was super nice, and the atmosphere was chic and inviting. They provided me a menu in English and they were so helpful answering any of my questions. The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I would definitely return next time I visit Montreal!

We went for lunch and it was not noisy, the service was lovely, attentive and helpful, and the food very good. We can't afford to go to places like this often given the prices but we understand that using high quality ingredients costs money. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Super nice place to go for a drink with friends. The cocktails were good. The food was good but expensive for the tiny quantity (expected from a refreshment bar) for a dinner.

We came right when they opened. The cafe au lait was good, the merguez burger was a bit dry but flavourful.

A nice surprise, the coffee is excellent, served in very beautiful cups! The food is impeccable, and there is even a fried chicken option that is gluten free! A morning on the terrace is a wonderful experience.
