Let me preface this review by saying that in non Covid19 times, I would not have given 4 stars. Yet, I went to Le Central last night to support some of the restaurants during this difficult time and giving less than 4 stars wouldn't be very supportive. I usually enjoy the poutine here very much. The sauce is great, the french fries are just the way I like them and the cheese curd is a plenty. I've been trying to do pick-up as much as possible at restaurants that I hope to see survive, since I know the fees for the delivery apps are crazy. Often times an app like UberEats will take 30% of the restaurants order.Last night, unfortunately this restaurant was unimaginably understaffed. 1 guy who had to manage what looked and sounded like 5 delivery app tablets (UberEats, Skip the dishes etc.) as well as take care of whatever walk in traffic that might come in. I felt bad for the guy, I almost wanted to jump behind the counter and help him out, but I waited patiently instead. Naturally the finished product was lackluster compared to what I'm used to getting, but I DO NOT in any way blame this poor employee, but rather the management who grossly underestimated the staffing needs. To the managers; you lost money last night by not having enough staff, that is clear. You will probably lose some customers too because the food going out for delivery was rushed and not up to your usual standards. Give up some of your tablets, or get some more staff in. I will be back to support you again, but I definitely won't place my order if I see the same kind of absolute chaos as I saw last night.
