One of my favorite restaurants! The food is excellent and the service is quick - there's almost no time to drool.The quality/price ratio is also quite good, for a starter/main course/dessert + small glass of wine, you get around $50-60 (considering that the quality of the dishes is very good).The atmosphere is always pleasant and gentle, the choice of music that is not too loud and the dim lights undoubtedly have something to do with it.In short, Le Hachoir is a place that I highly recommend for lovers of tartars and good times!

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Vermont and on vacation in Montreal, and for our anniversary decided we would eat here. We both ordered the classic burger from the menu with a side of fries and sweet potato fries. The food was beyond exceptional, would put the burger as one of the best burgers I've ever had, the atmosphere was just right, lively but quiet and relaxing! Would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for a very enjoyable meal!
Nice evening at this restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. Good service and good food. Better selection of wines than beers. I would have liked a more interesting variety, the hops lover in me was not satisfied. That said, good grilled octopus, interesting starters and tartars. Very few options for vegetarians obviously.

The beef tartares are incredible! And the hot little fries with mayonnaise are so comforting. The salad was also very succulent. Good vinaigrette with a touch of sesame. We will definitely come back!
