Tucked away on the bottom level of Chabad at McGill, Le Pletzl is the kind of place you almost want to keep secret… but it’s too good not to share.

I came in expecting a simple cafeteria-style bite, but what I got was a full-on elevated dining experience. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan—crispy, flavorful, and baked to perfection. The real surprise? It came with a beautifully fresh and generous salad on the side. It’s the little things that make a big difference.

The atmosphere is casual yet classy, with the kind of warmth that only a Chabad space can offer. The place was filled with university
students, as can be expected

Whether you’re a student, a downtown wanderer, or just someone in search of a good kosher meal, Le Pletzl delivers more than just food… it offers comfort, quality, and a sense that someone really cared about your plate.

Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back.

Very long, the dish ordered was not available, we were informed 10 minutes after paying, asking us to choose a much cheaper sandwich without offering a refund or a side dish to compensate. Good, very simple sandwich

Great find! Upscale dairy/parve food made with/culinary skill at fair prices - compares v. favorably to places back home in NYC!

My husband had mushroom burger & fries - he loved it even though he doesn’t like mushrooms. I had salmon sand. & veg soup, then we shared a delish sweet & sour brownie. Loved it!

The cashier put his hand under his sweater to scratch for at least a minute (time to heat the sandwich) and, without washing his hands, he handled the sandwich. Pomal crotter!
