Last night around 8:30–9pm I came to join my friends here. Two people switched seats and the waitress (white, medium-length blonde hair, black cap) hit us with this passive-aggressive “don’t change places anymore” attitude. Like okay, we get it, splitting bills isn’t a walk in the park, but there are ways to talk to clients without serving attitude on the side.
But the real issue was when we got up to go outside, she’s holding two plates for the table next to us and literally snaps at us in the RUDEST tone, “aweille je dois passer go go go tassez vous”. Excuse me? Absolutely no reason to talk to us like that. First of all, the clients aren’t going to drop dead if their food is served two seconds later, they can clearly see there’s barely space to walk and that we’re getting up. Second, I don’t care if she’s rushing. Most of us work in food service too, we KNOW a rush can be chaotic, but you still manage your attitude… especially when half the pub is empty.
That kind of talk and behaviour? Disrespectful. Distasteful. And honestly it completely ruined our night.

Never seen this ever- we were told that it was too busy to let us in, and half the tables were free! We were a group of 8 people coming in after a show at Théâtre Saint Denis, came in around 9:30 pm on a Tuesday evening, looking to watch the end of a game and have a few beers. The bartender stopped us from sitting at one of 20 or so empty tables and told us they could not serve us and we could not stay, because they didn’t have enough staff to serve us. I counted two people working, with many empty tables- probably half the entire restaurant. I even offered to come order at the bar and cash and carry and they still said no. Just crazy!
None of us will ever be back, and we’ll have a funny (all we could do was laugh at this) story to tell all our friends. Embarrassing for this establishment!

We had a great time at Saint Bock, we actually went twice! Our server/bartender was so sweet and attentive! (so sorry I forgot to ask your name!) The food was SO good, and I had one of the best whiskey sours ever. Great place to sit at the bar or outside. Def recommend :)

I couldn't recommend this place more! The staff is very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun! I was in the city for the Marathon Beneva de Montréal, and remembered how fantastic this place was when I visited in 2023. During this visit I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar top. Unfortunately I didn't get the bartender's name, but they had dark curly hair and a great sense of humour! The beer list was very impressive! I usually like to try only new places but I went back to this spot a few times during my trip.

The terrace on St-Denis is very nice and inviting, but unfortunately the rest of the experience didn’t live up to it. The microbrewery’s beers werent good! The blond especially tasted flat, with little to no bubbles. The food was also underwhelming. The onion soup was bland, topped with a processed sliced burger cheese, that overmelted and dried out, honestly not even as good as what you can get at Costco. The Cajun chicken wings were crispy, but the only included dip was ranch, and if you wanted Cajun or anything else, you had to pay extra. The French taco was stuffed with way too many onions and the chicken inside was tasteless.
On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and polite, but they seemed overwhelmed. It took a long time to get served, which only added to the frustration with the food and drinks.
Overall, aside from the pleasant terrace and kind staff, nothing stood out, and I wouldn’t return.

Food and beer were both good, atmosphere was nice, and location is perfect.
I travel and eat alone often, and find some places take extra care of you while others over look you - sadly this was the latter. I was there for a couple hours and the only time my server paid any mind to my table was when I waved them down or happened to make eye contact. They checked on my surrounding tables (had groups) multiple times while ignoring me. I think everyone deserves a break and servers are notoriously mistreated and overworked, but perhaps check in on your solo diner before you sneak around front for a lil vape sesh :)

Greetings from Halifax. I was visiting Montreal on vacation last week for my birthday and came upon this wonderful place through a recommendation from Passport Montreal. What a wonderful experience. I had one of the nicest, helpful, kind, funny and professional servers I have ever had. I forgot their name but had long dark hair with a rainbow scarf. The patio was cozy and the pub looked wonderful from the patio. The beers they picked were outstanding especially the yellowish one. Perfect for a hot summer evening. The poutine was delicious and everything was freshly made. A true asset to the community. Thank you for a wonderful evening and experience. I will definitely come back when I am in town again. All the best.
