We had a weekend brunch.Very tasty chachouka toast and smoothie but we were disappointed by the French toast (too much cinnamon) and the “cake” texture of the pancakes.The long wait (1 hour 45 minutes between waiting for a table and the arrival of the dishes) somewhat marred our experience.Decent service, pleasant atmosphere and generous portions.

After an activity I told a friend that I would show her a great place for brunch, she really liked the food, but, as she takes her last bite of bread, she turns red and pulls on something caught in his throat....A HAIR....the waiter is behind me and I tell him about it...he apologizes and says that he cannot know if the hair comes from them or the bakery that supplies them with the bread (we didn't want a laboratory analysis!!)The bills are presented to us without any gratuity, times are tough, but offering a coffee or something else as an apology would not have broken the bank.The moral of this story I shared this experience with all my friends so that they know how valuable the customers are at Toaster Villeray.
Very good brunch restaurant! The menu changes every two months, so it creates a lot of variety. The food is excellent, as is the service. On the other hand, the restaurant is relatively small, so you have to arrive early otherwise the wait can be long.

I have switched accounts to leave another review because 2 years later and this place has only gotten better - I would go here every weekend if I could! This time I’ve got photos to prove…My current recommendation is the pumpkin spice latte (holy smokes delish) and uhh any food really you can’t go wrong.
