Every year after the auto show, we usually try a new restaurant. This time Uptown was a disaster. For dinner at $65, it’s a real ripoff. Bad service, food probably reheated in the microwave so a bit chewy, nice music but no atmosphere for a Saturday night. Also, there was GST on the bill when it shouldn't be there. Maybe we had a bad day but we would have been fine without it.

We were welcomed by the great jungle-themed decor, which added a lively and immersive touch to our dining experience. The ambiance perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the food we were about to enjoy.
Each dish was infused with great spices that brought out the best in every ingredient. The lamb was particularly memorable—so well-marinated that it was bone-sucking good!
We also enjoyed some lovely, creative, and refreshing cocktails and mocktails. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted.
As an added bonus, we learned that they host tam-tam shows and face painting on weekends, making it a fantastic spot to enjoy a lively atmosphere while savoring delicious food

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The service was extraordinary, I literally felt like a king. The food is exquisite, we tasted a bit of everything and nothing disappointed! What surprised me a little was the lack of a menu. We were served several dishes: Mutton, chicken, samosas, fries, fufu, plantains, fish and shrimp as well as dessert. The cost of the drinks was a bit surprising: $12 for a mocktail and $9 for a Coke. In the end, a bill of $113 (including tip), but I think the quantity of food and the service easily excuses the price. Overall, I still really liked my experience. The 5☆ review is well deserved!

I found the restaurant from the state for my best friend's shower. It was quite difficult to get them to call us back, but when they did, everything rolled smoothly. 4/5 for service because we believe food presentation could be better. I must emphasize though the food is DELICIOUS ?. Fun was au rendezvous. The ambiance was electric. The face design was great and the message from the lady face painting was uplifting. The Tam Tam of course was just.....NO WORDS. We are definitely coming back. Thanks for making this special.
