We arrived and the place was closed. Phone calls not answered. Don’t bother to go there

On google it shows open, we drove 30 mins to reach there only to find that it’s closed. When I called the girl said they only open if you make a reservation first. I don’t know how their food is, so cannot guide you on that. But if you’re planning to go there make sure you call them and ask if they’ll serve.

Really great place to dine-in even though I was the only person doing so that day.

The food definitely feels homemade and tastes amazing despite how expensive it can be.

I love the lively music playing inside the restaurant which captivated my interest in listening to Ukrainian music.

The gentleman (whom I don't know the name of) was very hospitable and fun to talk to under such a lonely circumstance.

Hopefully I will return here by inviting more guests in the future😉.

Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦!

Cheesecakes, if you can call them that, as if they were fried in a fritter, did not like the taste, you can drive nails with them. The food is overrated in your restaurant.

I visited a Ukrainian restaurant for the first time with friends. They were delighted with the delicious Ukrainian food. I especially liked the borscht, Kyiv cake, dumplings, blood pudding, and meat dishes. Very hospitable establishment and staff, service was 5 stars. I recommend

I usually avoid writing bad reviews but I would want people to avoid a similar situation. It was the longest I've ever waited for everything in the restaurant. We started off with drinks and food. It took us 40 minutes at least to get the drinks. A simple pint and a shot, mind you. There was a concert that day. So my friend nicely asked one of the servers if we could at least get something like our drinks because we've been waiting for 40 minutes and he replied asking if we came here for the restaurant or the concert in a confrontational way? Which didn't make sense because 1) the concert didn't even begin yet and 2) we are literally in a restaurant. Why would we expect to wait an hour for our drinks because a band will play soon? The place was not even half full and every single thing we had to wait for at least 30 minutes. It almost felt like a miracle getting anything because at that point I kept assuming they forgot us. So we asked for the bills and I was telling myself it's fine, whatever, just not gonna go back there, we ended up waiting another hour just for the bills. The restaurant was near empty, it seemed like they were closing up and still no one came to get our bills. We got up to try to get their attention and that's when they came with the bill and included themselves a 15% tip, because no way anyone would tip after waiting for what is literally a combined time of over 2 hours. No one seems apologetic or in a rush in any way. Hence the bad review. It just seems like they don't care.

In response to the owner: 1) I don't understand what difference it makes to what staff member my friend nicely asked if we could get the drinks after 40 minutes of waiting, when the response was "are you here for the food or the concert?" 2) I did not randomly get varenykys free of charge. I was asked if I wanted the combo or separate items. I chose the combo, which came with varenykys, but said I don't eat porc and if I could have my borscht vegetarian. I was told yes. Later I was told that I wasn't going to get the rest of the combo because I ordered my borscht vegetarian. I said I didn't understand since I got the combo, after which the waitress said it's fine and brought the varenykys. If vegetarian borscht somehow cancels the other items, why not just say that as we order? If I was told I was supposed to not get two of the items on the menu (there was also supposed to be salo which I was going to give to my friend who does eat porc, but I let it go) just because I wanted my borscht vegetarian, I wouldn't have asked for the combo. 3) I wouldn't even know how to address an owner suggesting I'm lying about waiting for 40 minutes for my drinks and nearly an hour for our bills. Did you see on the camera how we went downstairs to find the waitress because we couldn't wait any longer?

Food is far from traditional Ukrainian: borsch from the can, frozen varenyky of medium grade,
tea for 5 $, beer 250ml 8$, uzvar -4$( though in the menu 3$), potato pancakes underdone and served with disgusting mushroom sauce instead of sour-cream mentioned in the menu...etc.
Overall we spent more than 150 $ for 2 persons supper of 3 dishes and concert (30$ a ticket) , but at the end they charged us 62$ for taxes and service fees! You could have a full meal in other places for this price!
Never coming back again, plus it's so far we had to drive through Laval to get there on time.

Parking: No parking there, we had to park in the neighbourhood.

I've had a great and a not so great experience.
We celebrated a birthday here and it was absolutely amazing. Food was great, really tasty, well presented. We were very impressed. And i would totally recomend.
Now the less great experience was ordering this through uber eats. The prices are really expensive.
12$ for a tiny cup of Borscht. See picture. (Nespresso pod & chips bag for size comparison)
15$ for 3 cheese fritters (on the uber eats picture there's 4...)
All to say, if this food matched the quality of what we had in the restaurant i would put 5 stars. But greasy cheese fritters (сирники).
Borscht that has more potatoes then anything else.
Was just disapointint. And i hope i was simply unlucky... but i wanted my boyfriend to try authentic ukrainian cuisine on a rainy day.

Went with my boyfriend and they were very welcoming and conversed in English, French, and Ukrainian. The prices were fair and the hospitality was amazing. They were very passionate in representing the authentic taste of Ukraine while putting a gourmet spin on it. We had the taste of Ukraine dish and the holuptsi. It was a 10/10 and reminded me of my Ukrainian grandmother’s cooking :) Slava Ukraini ??
