Do not go here. Maybe it used to be good, but is absolutely an unsafe place if you're a person of color now.An awful experience with an older white bartender, screaming/verbally agressive when trying to order, refused to serve me water (pointed at the toilet!), verbally assulted me and racial insults at me when trying to pay; it wasn't a busy night and there was no prior incident. Don't believe me, just look at the dozens of other 1 star reviews, 90% of which are about this same individual from years ago(!!!). Clearly this will never be addressed, so take your money elsewhere, you will not be safe here.So much for the punk ethos of "No racism no sexism no violence no homophobia"; just look at the reviews for this place, you'll find 5 examples for each of the above LOL. Go somewhere else.

Reading "Laurie Peris"'s review below, I experienced exactly the same thing in this place. The bar already has no menu (original!), so I ask the barmaid what beer they have (logical?). He looks at me badly and shows me with his hands, saying "it's here" while acting like a shooter. I told him that without seeing a card with details on the type of beer (blonde, brown, amber, ipa, stout...) I was not able to guess from a simple tap. I ask him for advice rather on what type I'm looking for (well yes without a card we cling to what we can: communicate with someone whose job it is), it doesn't seem to have pleased him since he rolled his eyes and rushed to serve other customers, and coming back to me each time showing an annoyed attitude judging the fact that I still haven't made my choice (as if leaving me alone would make me choose something I still don't know about). In short, it put a bad mood in my group of friends, all of whom were outraged. Very loud music even though no bands were playing. I didn't give any tips and frankly it was deserved, we took our beer quickly and quickly left the place as the atmosphere is so detestable, we feel aggression even though we are just having a moment between friends ! Tall bartender with a cap and dark skin more than disrespectful! We asked him for advice on beers and he told us to make do, that he wasn't there to advise us. He spoke to us like sh… on several occasions and ruined the evening for us..

I came here last year in July to grab a beer after hard day of flying and working. I handed the bouncer my id and he started to say that it “wasn’t me” and I told him my address & my postal code as well mind you, I was wearing a guest services shirt from a festival i jus worked at the night before and I had credentials on my belt loop that said “show stop” I told him that and he gave me attitude saying “and” “and” ?As someone who as worked in the bar industry for three plus years and has ran many clubs. this bar and it’s security should be ashamed of themselves by the way they treat patrons if I were you I would stay away overly aggressive security for sureAlso don’t deletes my review again lmao

I've been there multiple times and honestly, the staff are often stupid. There's an aggressive atmosphere that reigns in the place and I don't say that about the customers. Homophobic comments from a bartender towards one of my friends. I went there this evening and same unpleasant atmosphere. I left as soon as I arrived. Sad place ultimately.
