We got there at 2:15. We weren’t sure about ordering drinks since it was so late and the bar was honestly terrible, but I still wanted to order something, because working in the bartending industry, I know how it feels when customers don’t.
Keep in mind, as soon as we walked in, there was no bouncer in sight to check anyone’s ID. Once inside, we asked for a glass of water. The guy kept pressuring us to order drinks, non-stop.
When we finally decided that the menu wasn’t that great, the bartender literally said, word for word:
“Just letting you know, we’re closing, so you can leave.”
I’m sorry??? I felt bad for not ordering at your sorry excuse of a bar ,but thank God I didn’t. Then he kept repeating, “You can leave, you can get out, you can leave,” as we kept asking for his name.
That is absolutely insane, to treat a customer that way. Being upset is one thing, but you should never, ever treat someone like that. Professionalism is clearly something they need to learn.
By the way, this all happened on the night of November 13
I’m in shock at how a man like this managed to ruin my entire night. He definitely needs to have a talk with his boss, because if he keeps acting that way, trust me, no one will ever have a good experience or leave a good tip. I still can’t believe my eyes.

Really bad service. Bartender keep asking us if we wanted drink every 2min, we told him we were still looking then he told us to leave in a really mean way. Not to mention he didn’t even ask us for id. Really bad experience

Very aggressive door man. A lady vaped which yes she’s wrong but the man was very out of line saying “do it again and see what happens” then proceeded to verbally attack her and tell her to take slim fast, it really didn’t sit right with me that sort of aggression from someone who is employed to be a professional myself nor my group will return.
My favorite pub for a drink after work. Reed and Michael always serve the best drinks and make me feel at home. Best pub in the neighborhood. The pints of Guinness… best pour in the city

As corner pubs go, this one hits all the right boxes. Small place, can get crowded, but that's part of the charm, good selection of drinks and beers. If you want something fancy, they can also get it from the upstairs cigar lounge. Sitting at the bar and playing the box for a round of shots is always a good time. The people who work here are some of the best bar staff in the city, also very knowledgeable about the city if you're visiting and wondering what to do next. Many an evening can start here and after experiencing some of the awesomeness Montreal has to offer, it can also end here for that final night cap before staggering to taxi and heading home.

A proper Pub.
Visiting Montreal and popped in there for a quick drink whist I was looking for a take away (and escaping the wife and kid left back in the hotel), it was a Sunday evening and there was a few others there having a drink, decent vibe, I sat at the bar, the bartender was chatty and we had a laugh, I left after 30 mins but will definitely return when I am back in town.
