Had the ravioli it was fantastic. 4 stars because we waited over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. Other patrons had come and gone while we waited. We had both gotten pasta so I am not sure if they made it from scratch but still. An hour and a half is way too long to wait to eat.
Other than that, great place.
I travel frequently for work and look forward to trying ethical and local eats on my numerous trips. I read many positive reviews of LOV McGill in Montreal but was treated badly there. The short version is that it is no longer a vegan restaurant, despite many past positive reviews. The long version is that they refused to take my credit cards and I ended up paying over double price on in cash. I offered many alternative payments to compromise, hoping to keep my only cash on hand for the remainder of my work travels and definitely did not want to leave without paying but they would not agree to anything I offered. There was no mention of this strict payment policy anywhere on their website or on the numerous posts I searched on Happy Cow and Fb prior to walking 20 minutes from my conference site to eat there. I was in Montreal for several days without issue regarding my credit cards and Apple Pay. Perhaps they have a special policy for tourists.
If this was the best meal of my life, it would be slightly less bitter. But, it was terrible, salty, greasy, and bizarre. I have not felt well since my visit. They have a lot to learn about serving good food. Left a bitter taste in my mouth and my soul.
Very sad experience. My dish arrived 25 min earlier than my friend, and we had to eat separated. I had the mushroom risotto and the taste was pure black pepper and no salt at all. I don’t recommend.
😘😘 health, veg/vegan food spot. The mushroom toast was delish. Fries were yummy too. Smoothie was good! Large portion sizes
Pretty empty / easy to get table sat @11am
Ok cute restaurant - very charming but the food was terrible. Liked the cauliflower. But the mushroom truffle risotto was just awful. Very bland like no flavor at all and it felt undercooked. We asked the server and he said he will get it redone, but they clearly just warmed up our plate and reserved it to us - still undercooked btw. The dumplings were also extremely bland but atleast the sauce it was served with made it a bit palatable. Ordered a crème de la creme and it taste like milk. I’m wondering if I read it wrong or if they were missing the pistachio stuff. All in all didn’t I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
Was mothers day brunch. 4 adults and a 3 yr old. Booked online using Open Table. Alot of seating, we were sat at a large round table. Staff was always available. Beautiful exterior, and beautiful vintage-shabby-chic interior. Brick walls painted white and alot of lighting, very photo friendly.
LOV seems to be a popular spot for lunch and dinner. The menu is vegetarian, with many vegan items clearly marked. The restaurant is bright with friendly service, and my meal was fresh and vibrant. Consider making a reservation if your heart’s set on eating here as the first time we stopped in, they were fully booked.
I had a wonderful experience here. The food and drinks were all exceptional. I especially loved the presentation of the drink called something with “Jardin”. This place is a new favorite!
My only note is for the French onion soup- the soup itself was perfection, but when I think of French onion soup I think of the defining element being the soaked bread and melty cheese on top, not served separately. I just put it in myself and was happy :)
Two cocktails, 1.5 appetizers, and a main were CAD $73.58 before tip.
Definitely not a good meal unfortunately. Nice staff, nice atmosphere but the food was very sub par. Did not feel Local, Organic and not all vegan. Burgers were just plain beyond meat etc and the California bowl was so so salty with some rotten lettuce included :/. Was excited to try this but would encourage more fresh vegetables etc. and less pre packaged ingredients.
Lovely vibe friendly staff, but I would recommend chef to try adding some spices into the food as it lacks flavours. Rest the almond milk chai tea latte was delicious.

This is the nicest combination of superb quality food, service and atmosphere I have experienced. But then I've only been veggie for 45 years 🤣
Great service with a smile, and with quick food delivery. Excellent vegan options
great place for brunch, host was accomodating! service was excellent. wish there was more salad options!
We had a wonderful dinner there tonight and the food was well prepared, beautiful and very tasty! They had no trouble at all working around a challenging allergy, making something on the fly, off menu, and the cocktail drinks were inventive and beautiful with lots of flower accents. You have your choice of table (some with booths), high top table, or bar seating. We chose the bar seating and it was terrific. The place is bright and light in its decor.
This place is amazing as someone with dietary restrictions. It’s nice having a plant based restaurant option with a larger menu so always feel like there are options. It can be a bit pricey if you’re getting drinks and a meal. I ordered the lasagna and tried the kimchi fries. I loved the fries but the lasagna and salad weren’t too memorable.
