First stop on our trip to Montreal. Came recommended as a classic Italian spot with great food. Wanted to love this place, but sadly it was very disappointing on all fronts. The menu was a basic assortment of Italian classics, which would/could have been great if the food was tasty—but it was not. Everything was lukewarm, including the service. Octopus with chickpea puree was bland, salad was just arugula poorly dressed with some Parmesan slabs on top, and the gnocchi special had so much flour in the dough it was difficult to eat. For the money it should have been great. Unfortunately that was not the case.

What a great surprise! My wife and I fell upon the restaurant when walking in little Italy and decided to see if we could get a table. The food was amazing, it teleported us back to Italy for a few hours!

We had a family event at Restaurant Luca and I can’t say enough good things about this place. Anthony and his team did an amazing job, service was on point, the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend Restaurant Luca for a group event or a casual dinner. I’ll be back soon!!!

I called an hour before they opened to purchase a bottle of prosecco for my sister on her birthday (she had a reservation for a couple hours later). They were rude while I purchased the prosecco on the phone. Then they didn’t even served her the champagne after they’d already charged me.
I called back after she left to ask for a refund. No explanation no apology.
Your staff need further education and training in hospitality. I suggest reading Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.

I ate here last year, and wanted to say the filet mignon was very good, and rack of lamb, but for some reason the seafood and pasta dish was subpar the night we went. The fried calamari and veggie appetizer with bacon were good but the dessert was simple.

An amazing experience! We walked in without a reservation - the place was packed as usual - and our waiter told us it would be a five minute wait. We got settled in and loved the ambience, the vibe and the service. The menu is on a chalk board on the wall, fresh and local ingredients and something for everyone. I ordered the zucchini flowers and lamb ragu (small portion would have been enough but eyes were bigger than stomach!) my husband got the arugula salad and the lamb chops. Our friends had the halibut and the linguine frutti di mare. I also had an amazing glass of red wine from Tuscany! All our food was delicious, great attentive service and a must visit when you are in the area!
