I highly recommend the degustation menu along with a wine pairing. It’s worth every penny. The white truffle pasta was delicious

My experience at Maison Boulud was incredible. My friend and I were visiting Montreal and wanted a Michelin-quality dinner. MB had no reservations but they were kind enough to seat us at the bar. I actually loved sitting at the bar because the bartender and the sommelier were both so fun and passionate about their work. Every course was phenomenal and the wine pairings elevated the experience. Toward the end, I was feeling so full, but the pre-dessert course hacked my digestive system and made me feel not full almost immediately. It was a really cool trick. It's been several months and I'm still thinking about my dinner there. I highly recommend you check it out if you're in Montreal.

Unfortunately there has been recurrent issues with their hostesses not being welcoming, mistaking reservations with one another, or placing guests in the worst possible tables. We have been loyal guests over the years and the servers are incredible, truly (i.e. Lina), but the welcoming and the food unfortunately do not justify the prices anymore compared to a few years ago.
The menu has not changed in several months.
Will think twice next time about returning.

Boulud at the Ritz...an obligatory stop whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Cozy atmosphere (luxury calm voluptuousness...). Opt for the glass roof which overlooks the interior garden, pond and ducks included.
Courteous and top-notch service.
Good food for breakfast, now you will have to try lunch and dinner!
The site alone is worth the trip.
Highly recommend ?

A tasty culinary experience that respects my anti-inflammatory choices

I wanted to share my experience in this restaurant which was able to combine taste pleasure and respect for my nutritional values. As a nutrition mentor for 20 years, I'm always on the lookout for places that offer healthy, anti-inflammatory options, and this one definitely lived up to my expectations.

As soon as I arrived, I was seduced by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made our meal even more enjoyable. My dad opted for gazpacho, a classic and refreshing choice, which delighted his taste buds. Although I didn't sample this dish, I appreciated that there were varied options on the menu, which showed a real desire to cater for different diets.

For my part, with my choices (prosciutto/melon and a salmon tartare with cucumber instead of crouton), each bite was a real delight, and I was able to enjoy a meal that fully respected my lifestyle. The ingredients were fresh, quality, and the flavors perfectly balanced.

In conclusion, this restaurant is a real gem for those who want to combine gastronomy and nutrition.

I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who, like me, is looking to treat themselves while taking care of their health.

A great discovery that I will not fail to share with my clients and friends!

Our friend treated my partner and myself to dinner here while we were visiting from Nova Scotia. It was a first visit for us all. My friend wanted to eat inside and since he was paying, I didn’t argue. We were the only ones in the main dining area as everyone else were outside or in the private rooms. This made it quiet, but I couldn’t people watch… keep this in mind when making reservations. Our first server Lena was wonderful, but she had to hand off to Guillaume as her section changed suddenly. She explained this, but we were sad to see her go. Guillaume never introduced himself, odd not to do in such a place, and he didn’t have Lena’s personality. The service was still brisk and on cue at all times…I’m a slow eater and I could tell they were always checking to see if I had finished. As soon as I would, boom they took our plates away, they were well coordinated.
I ordered the cold squash soup, which was ok.. it needed pepper. I then had the lamb and eggplant, which was tasty…I left the two pieces of okra on the plate… okra is not a good choice. We also shared the roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables, tomatillos I believe, they were tasty.
My partner had the foie gras and the halibut… he enjoyed it. Our friend had the heirloom tomato appetizer and the risotto. He’s a super fussy person, but his only complaint was that the tomato appetizer was overpriced for what it was. I consider that a good outcome for him, lol. They provided bread and butter; thankfully, the mains are gourmet sized, so you can fill up on bread.
We didn’t order dessert, but they brought complimentary madeleines; a nice touch.
Overall, it was a nice experience, I only wish we ate outside.

I don't understand the concept of charging way too much for bland, soulless food. We went to eat a week ago and really no positive points apart from the service and the presentation of the dishes. Appetizers without taste, no texture, overcooked meat, rubbery and dry. So disappointed we didn't even order desert. Plus, my mother-in-law was sick. With a bill of more than $500, you don't expect to be sick, an extremely disappointing experience.

I loved my dinner here. The staff made me feel welcome and provided a high level of service and attention. I had the escargots, and contre-filet with a very nice Piemonte Barbaresco. The escargots were not your typical garlic butter saturated version, but much lighter in a mushroom emulsion. The contre-filet was served I two rectangular portion, cooked to my requested degree of doneness, and very tender and flavorful. Although I declined dessert, my server, Miho, brought me a basket filled with freshly baked warm Madeleines. Such a nice gesture. All my visits here are always memorable.
