Update: January 2026 Just went again, and as usual, the food is excellent. I'm sure the negative reviews are for another maison Istanbul, because I've been coming to this restaurant since it opened, and their meat is always consistent. The service may be a little slow when they are at full capacity, but that is to be expected. It's the restaurant on Jean talon, closer to Galeries D'Anjou. Even their original restaurant on Jean talon, closer to viau is great. Worth a try, don't mind the negative comments.

Came to maison Istanbul for dinner with my in laws, the chicken doner platter is amazing!!!! The portions were big and the plates are well priced. I always come here when coming to Montreal. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Very good food. We had Kebap Mixed plate, with chicken and lamb kebap and antep kebap. 3 people shared it, with another order of antep kebap, it was sufficient for us. Salad and bulgur and fries are served on the side. Soups were delicious. We had kelle paca soup. I will try the other types of soups (lentil) also on my next visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant to all people who like kebap, pide (vegetarian options available), turkish soups with both vegetarian and meat options. Very good taste, satisfaction guaranteed.

We were very hungry on this cold and windy day. I asked for tea to keep warm, and they brought us 3, which is nice, because I only asked for my husband. Very helpful staff, we also asked for drinks not from the fridge) We ordered a lamb kebab... it was very tasty and juicy, the meat was not tough. A portion is enough to satisfy hunger . ) We will definitely come back here.
