By far, one of the best restaurants we've been to in Montreal. The food, the service and ambiance was on point! They waitress and bar tender gave us an excellent service and we came out of there as very happy customers. Big thank you to Leola for her good vybes and making us extra confortable. Top recommandation!!

Rustic atmosphere with lots of energy. The service was great, and food was on point. We had a set family style menu as it was a large birthday party group.
We had amazing starters from the fresh oysters to the burrata with that delicious bread and green goddess sauce to the sashimi and carpaccio that melted in your mouth, yum! Our main was even more mouth watering. A surf and turf menu made in your dreams. Lobster, jumbo tiger shrimps, scallops, not to mention the tamohawk steak, fries and sauted mushrooms. Served with numerous different sauces.
A great experience! It's pricey but worth it.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday with the fam. at Makro by Grinder and we had an amazing dinner! From the time we sat down we were taken care of. The food was absolutely fantastic and drinks were delicious! At the end of the evening the chef even came out to say hello and show love. Definitely will be coming back.
The Orecchiette Bolognaise was incredible, the beef short ribs was melt in your mouth, the rib eye was perfectly cooked & packed with flavour.
Definitely a must try the Grinder chain!!!

I am veeeeeeeerry happy with my experience at Makro. Beautiful aesthetically pleasing restaurant. As a Montrealer that tries to avoid tourist traps to the best of my ability, Makro is a place that has made me very happy at all fronts and i would recommend it. The quality/ price is on point. On top of not being extremely expensive (in comparison to hot spots in Montreal, which i would consider this restaurant as being one). The quality, quantity, service time and service quality was immaculate. We received excellent suggestions depending on our tastes for cocktails. Even one of my drinks was too sweet, the server happily suggested they remake it and the let us keep the previous drink. We were very well attended. Despite the fact that we stayed longer (because we were having a good time) and other reservations were made for our table, we were instructed to go to the Speak easy down stairs to finish our drink. There, is the King Crab club which is also one of my favorite places. For the inconvenience, the barman downstairs offered our first drinks on the house. We ended up staying until very late and having an absolute blast. In the King Crab area we could sit, despite it being a club, and there was no issue. Will be back, and i highly recommend it. The music is also very good. Go for a good night.

Very good food - try the tartare, with the sweet potato fries, it is out of this world! The service was great and very attentive. The cocktails are good, the rice cakes and the Porterhouse too.
It was just extremely hot in there on a summer evening - not sure if it was an AC problem

I went to The makro yesterday for a birthday dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing
From the moment we arrived, the customer service was unwelcoming. I had reserved the table from 6 to 9 PM, and throughout the evening, we were constantly reminded in a repetitive and uncomfortable way that we had to leave at 9. It would have made more sense for that message to be communicated directly to the person who made the reservation, rather than going around to every guest and creating unnecessary pressure.
The atmosphere felt rushed and tense. We barely had time to enjoy our food or conversations without feeling like we were being pushed out. The waiter, in particular, was very rude and disrespectful both in person and during previous phone interactions. It completely ruined the vibe of what was meant to be a celebratory evening.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, welcoming place to enjoy a meal, this is definitely NOT it. I won’t be going back.

We wanted to go to the Grinder restaurant but it was full and they suggested we could go to Markro instead. It’s own by Grinder and it has almost the same menu, but with more sea food. It was really good! It’s also easier to talk than the Grinder thanks to the lower volume of the music. I recommend!

The food was delicious! Had the 40oz Wagyu Tomahawk, special for the F1 weekend, with the side of mushrooms and grilled Brussel sprouts.
The steak was great, as expected, but the mushrooms were fantaaaaaaastic. Pleasant surprise.
The hostess was incredibly friendly, as was the bartender (Nikolo I believe?)
We had a few drinks, but I highly recommend the Piscocello and they also make a good amaretto sour.
Ambiance was great, and while the wait for the food was a bit long, definitely within reason for the F1 weekend.
All in all, highly recommend!
All in all, great spot!
