Perfect Saturday night!!
The food is delicious.. sarmale, mici ... after living in Romania for a few years, I could find a typical romanian restaurant in Montreal and remember the taste ... I really recommend.. and the owner is very kind...
Overcooked and tough meat
Bad service, we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Thursday evening

Full range of authentic delicious dishes, served politely; nice 80s music was playing.

Very good experience! Just WoW food and general portions. Average price $35. The best choice are the diversified platters which give the opportunity to taste several Romanian dishes. Plus everything is done on site.
We will definitely come back!
Thank you to your team!

If it were not for the food, this place would get NO stars. The place looks like an old Romanian restaurant from the 90's, might as well be built in the 90's and not updated ever, by the way it looks... it's quite dirty and not well kept at all, they could use a deep cleaning now and then and a fresh coat or paint, also it's very dark, everything black or dark brown....doesn't help either that there no side windows as it's in a basement....cutlery is not properly washed, seats, cushions are old and dirty, with visible dirt, "jegoase" in Romanian, if you know what it means....
Service? Well, the guy that attended us was from my home town, we chatted a bit, but he didn't seem to be too bothered or excited to meet another guy from his home town....maybe he meets a lot, every day... don't know....also, we could smell alcohol, since he was drinking with another patron when we arrived, then he forgot to use deodorant for the day and it was not pleasant to be around him....I am not sure when he moved to Canada, but I was working with guys having his level of service in the 90's....when we were recently out of comunism....we were not very good at communicating, empathizing with the customer, making sure they have the best time....it was more of a take it or leave it attitude....kinda like this guy had....he was alone, doing everything by himself, taking the order, cooking, serving....asked for a lemonade with still water, he repeated 3 times, they only do it with Perrier sparkling water, like I should appreciate the fact they are using expensive water for my lemonade....
I must appreciate the taste of the food though, very good, some over cooked or dry, like the sausage, but all in all, the food was good
I am not sure if the guy that attended us is the manager, the owner or just an employee, but he was saying they don't care much about social media presence, so I am not sure they will even read this....but if they do, then a word of advice...invest a bit into refurbishing the place, hire a decorator to give you a few hints to make the place more welcoming, train your staff to be more serviceable, clean your place more often and I am sure you will be a lot more successful....or maybe you already are popular enough and it was just a bad time when we arrived because it was empty.....I loved the food, but because of the experience, I would not go back anytime soon
Kid-friendliness: No options for kids, no kids menu, no attention to this aspect whatsoever

I have never had such service. Rude host and $28 for 2 chicken skewers and fries. Might as well go to the mc
do. I am a bar manager and I regret being treated like this during my 3 hours of leave between my two shifts. Best wishes. Or not.

I tried Romanian cuisine for the first time in this restaurant and was very satisfied. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant are pleasant and the food is good. I tried the stuffed cabbage and it was just good.
