A trendy place with a cool take on Japanese sushi. There's not really any sushi on the menu but the dishes are still unique and delicious. The quality of fish was quite good and while the rice wasn't your traditional sticky rice it was also good. The fried chicken dish was one of our favorites. They were lacking an a la carte option for the visitor who just wants to try some maki sushi but would still recommend

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. It gets packed pretty quick inside, outside there is plenty of space. If you like hojicha latte, it is a must! It was so good. Skip the limonade yuzu, it wasn't impressive. The Tamago Sando i suggest u to add the smoked salmon to give it more taste, unless you just feel like having an egg sandwhich. We also tried the Katsu Sando, really tasty. I recommend the chicken Karaage! Worth it! There's something with the sauce that is so good ?

Walked by this building so many times and never knew it's a restaurant! Made a reservation for Sunday night but didn't really need it, plenty of bar space. Hostess was also my bartender & waitress. She gave me a bunch of recommendations, and I ended up with the duck, karaage & gomae. Also started off with the Yune drink because I can't say no to yuzu. It turned out to be a yuzu flavored old fashioned, one of my fave drinks! There's also a sizeable sake collection which I couldn't partake this time. All 3 dishes I ordered were excellent - the duck was cooked perfectly with caramelized ion on the skin. The karaage was crispy outside and juicy inside. But the gomae really amazed me, it came with a light & flavorful dashi broth, the tomatoes were flame kissed so the skin was charred but inside was a burst of sweetness. It almost didn't need the sesame sauce. I thought the music volume was perfect too. Great experience!

The sandwiches are too good that I had to take a second portion and overeat! No regret tho. I recommend both the Egg and fried chicken. The bread is SOFT (like crazy soft) and a little sweet, which compliments the savory fillings. The tea is super natural and high quality. Love that the hot tea is in a tea pot so you can have a large amount of it. The place isn't like your usual coffee shop. There is a DJ (music not super loud), a lot of seats and a beautiful back yard. It's a good spot to chill and work on your papers. I wish they had more food options to snack on! Looking foward to my next visit :)

Great place for coffee. Pastries were not prime. They were not fresh. I will come back for the japanese food though. Incredible atmosphere to hang out with friends. Will not be your option to work since music is a bit high. Really different from a regular coffee shop. Definitely recommended.

Hands down the best brunch place in Montreal! The tamogo and karaage sandwich was very filling, and the ingredients are all fresh and very well-seasoned. The yuzu sauce in the karaage sandwich is quite exquisite and a cherry on top of the juicy fried chicken. The matcha latte was also very rich in flavour and not too sweet. The wifi connection is very fast and stable, and I love the ambience of the cafe, the lighting was perfect for Instagram pictures and stories. Overall, the dining experience here was great and I'll definitely visit again with friends.

It is a very aesthetic cafe with great vibes for studying, working, and taking pictures for social media. The drinks were good but the food was pretty disappointing and looks a lot better than it tastes. We ordered the tomago sando and katsu curry to eat, a hojicha latte and osmo fog to drink, and a matcha and white chocolate cookie to go. Was really excited to try the tomago sando after seeing it on social media but the egg was over cooked and not gooey enough, lacked flavour, and was loaded with too much sauce (Japanese mayo I think). It was nice to try but not something I'd get again. The katsu curry was really tasty but the portion size is small for $15. The matcha and white chocolate chip cookie had a good balance of flavours but was on the harder side - would've preferred softer and chewier cookie. Overall, a cool cafe to visit and would go back to grab a latte with a friend but would probably go elsewhere for something to eat.

Very hip and cozy atmosphere with amazing coffee and Japanese food. The perfect combo! Chill vibes are also provided compliments of the DJ (who may so be the owner??) Highly recommend the Osmo Fog and Katsu Curry. The Katsu was so crispy yet tender on the inside. This is a popular study spot for uni students but there are some tables set aside for diners from 11am-3pm.

Savory quick meals and ideal spot for students to work on their laptops. The sandwiches were delicious (especially the shrimp one!) The egg sandwich was on the heavier side. The miso soup was slightly too salty, but the curry dish was perfection. I do not recommend going with young children because there are no high chairs available (there's even a decibel meter measuring the level of noise). Not the most family-friendly spot but yummy nonetheless.

The reso is near my home and I passed by it multiple times. Only from the food app that I noticed this shy restaurant, which is basically underneath. I go for the egg sandwich because I was caught by its attractive photo on the site. It should be noticed that only after 11 am can we order the sandwich. The sandwich is soft and juicy and the eggs are flowing. Basically it is a good sandwich with appropriate price. But I prefer boiled eggs lol

The best sandwich I have ever had in Canada! You must try it if you like Asian style sandwich! The bread was soft and the combination was wonderful. Although waited for a long time it deserved.

We heard that they had good food and coffee so we stopped by. We ordered both karaage and tamago sandos. The two sandwiches were looking absolutely amazing and the taste was pretty good. But, not going to lie, the curry was the best. The iced americano was good and I heard so many compliments about the hojicha white chocolate, so we got that on ice, but I’m still not too sure about it. Many people did compliment the hot version, so I guess it might be different when on ice. We did order too much food and had to get a takeout box. The worker there was very nice, gave us the box and stickers to decorate.

Had a great time at this super hip cafe. The tamago sando is incredible, hojicha latte was delicious and the curry is also great. Will absolutely be coming back for lunch whenever I’m in the area!

Hands down the best meal we've had in Montreal so far! The wine and sake list are next level, and the food is incredible. Each dish was some of the best of each thing we had, but we especially loved the duck. It had a tender inside and a charred crispy skin that was so unlike other duck we've eaten.

I expected more of this restaurant given the reviews. Food was good but nothing to be impressed about. The grilled duck had a really good taste but came out cold.
