My experience at Mignon was very poor. After being seated, it took about 15-20 minutes to be served. The waitress asked if we wanted drinks and since the wait was so long, we ordered food at the same time. Our appetizers arrived after 20-25 minutes, but we still hadn’t received our drinks. About 10 minutes after getting our appetizers and maybe 35 minutes since our orders were taken, our waitress admitted she forgot to input our drinks. She asked again what we wanted and gave us a glass of sparkling wine to apologize. Our meals showed up finally and although I requested no mushrooms, there were mushrooms on my burger. I wasn’t provided with a napkin. 2 of the drink orders then arrived, but I never received mine. When we requested our bills, there were errors on 3 of the 4. Overall, not an experience that would make me consider a return trip to Mignon.

Really awesome restaurant with fantastic staff and service 😇😇 We started with the red wine and mocktail (Summer Spiritz) and then moved onto Burrata that was so delicious ❤️❤️ So tasty! I had shrimp cocktail while my partner had the PEI mignon with fries and we loved every single bite ❤️❤️ Full compliments to the chef 😇😇 We cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu in this 10/10 restaurant :)

I went there for dinner with family and we ordered the dollar oysters (5 à 7) and the polenta fries (both great). For our mains: the steak frite which was a bit chewy for my liking, the trout which was excellent and the mac and cheese that was ok. We got a new server but she was very sweet and checking up on us very often. We sat outside which had a nice atmosphere and music. Overall a good night!

While my steak was cooked beautifully, the experience of the meal and the service was unpleasant. I don't think I have ever felt less welcome in a restaurant. The servers were combative when my friend asked questions about substitutions for the menu, it seemed like a very disproportionate reaction and I have sympathy that there must have been something else going on. I served for years, one of our party is a hospitality manager, we know responding kindly to annoying questions is part of the job. They rushed us through our meal, asking more than once if we were finished, even trying to take my friends plate while he was clearly still eating, they asked if we wanted our wine chilled then poured it all very quickly so that it was warm. The negative energy was palpable and bizarre. The worst part was when the bill was dropped, suddenly our server, tried to turn on the charm, inquired about our celebration and was falsely engaging and kind when the rest of the meal her dislike for our table had been obvious. I found the whole experience distasteful, disappointing and definitely not worth the cost.

My friends and I had a very poor experience yesterday at this restaurant, one that tainted our friends reunion and made the evening really unpleasant. The meal was alright. The service, however, made me give me a $0 tip for the first time in my entire life. The servers, particularly this person whose name appears to be Anne, seemed really annoyed at our requests about the possibilies to change the sides of the steak dishes. We had asked a previous waiter, who apparently just gave up on our table and was abruptly switched by Anne, about the possibility to change fries for mashed potatoes. He explained they didnt make mashed potatoes, which we obviously understood, and then we saw they made fingerling potatoes as a side to the trouts. We politely asked Anne if we could have fingerling potatoes with the steak, to what she replied, rudely: “As my colleague already informed you, that is not possible. This is a steak and fries restaurant”. The energy was really loaded and it seemed like they were having some disagreements with the kitchen staff, which a professional waiter would keep separate from the front house. We also felt rushed throughout the entire meal: we arrived at 8:45, unfortunately half an hour after our reservation time, a lateness we of course called ahead to report because we got mixed up and went to the wrong address at Saint Paul. Over the phone, they said it was fine – the restaurant only had about 5 occupied tables, and closes at 11 pm. In other words: our tardness was not supposed to make a difference for them. But Anne came ask us if we were done multiple times throughout the meal, served our wine which was chilling in the ice bucket too quickly, and this service made the entire experience feel wrong and very uncomfortable. We were extremely disappointed to have spent our evening and our money there, and will never again come back nor recommend this place to anyone. They have no clue about how to treat clients, and the food is really bot worth this hassle.

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant — from start to finish, everything hit the right notes. The location is ideal, easy to get to and surrounded by a great neighborhood vibe. It offers a cozy and inviting indoors, with a bright, open outdoor option perfect for summer late afternoons and evenings. You can tell they’ve put thought into creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Staff were genuinely friendly — attentive without hovering, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu. The wine list was impressive, especially the pairing suggestions. I went with a medium bold red they recommended and it complemented the steak perfectly.
Speaking of which — their steak and fries deserve the hype. Cooked just right (medium-rare in my case), nicely seasoned, and served with crispy, golden frites that actually live up to the French standard. Simple, but done with care and consistency.
Whether you're popping in for a glass of wine and a bite, or sitting down for a full dinner, this place is well worth a visit.

I was there for my birthday treat from a friend. We had two cosmos to start off the evening and they were very well prepared.We started off with oysters, which were fresh and delicious. Then we went for the steak frites special. The soup was a ginger, carrot, mushroom soup, but it tasted mostly of mushroom. It was delicious, but not a very generous portion. It barely covered the bottom of the bowl. My friend had the salad. It was simple, but good. The star of the show was the steak fries. The steak was very flavourful and tender, and the fries were hot and crunchy. We had the wine pairing for the steak fries. We had a rosé wine and a red wine, which were both quite good. We had a caramel Choux for dessert. Yummy.

i feel cheated and roped off because I went for 1$ oysters and it said on the menu from 5-7 oysters are 0.99 but after the bill came saying 21$ and when I asked they said it changed but I ordered based off of what the menu said so instead of 6 I pays $21 which isn’t cool in this economy honestly but the place where service was amazing, I just felt like they ripped me off
