The food is mediocre. The service is very mediocre. Compared to what you get, it is outrageously priced. You get better food and service at a chain restaurant. Very disappointed.

We sit in front of the kitchen curtain, feeling like we were eating in the kitchen, near all the garbage bins and dirty dishes. Not a big fan of the lunch menu. Pastas were ok. Didn’t touch the deserts as the cheesecake tastes like grocery store style cakes. The price was good.

Location is good and they provide free parking, which is really great for a downtown location however it is very confusing to get to the restaurant from the parking lot because you’re going through a mall and the signs are not obvious that being said the service was great 10 on 10 for the service The food though was just whatever I preferred my entrées over my mains, but you can’t really mess up on entrée when it’s cold cuts and buratta. Another thing is that I really hated that they share their bathroom with the café downstairs. I was dressed up for a birthday dinner so I feel completely out of place having to walk down there .Overall I liked my experience.

Booked this place for an office team lunch and was a huge hit! We were a group of 15 people, who preferred sitting outdoors. Enjoyed the food right across Eaton mall in one of the most beautiful setting ! The place serves Italian food with limited vegetarian options in the menu. But they are very flexible and help customise dishes based on preferences. You can choose a soup or salad with the main dish and you get a dessert with it.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had when it comes to organizing a private event! I recently hosted my sister’s bridal shower at Osteria MKT, and the entire staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish.
The manager, Leo, and our hostess, Micaela, were especially amazing. They were always available to answer any questions we had and made the planning process so much smoother. We had originally reserved a private room upstairs, which was lovely but a bit tight for the number of guests we were expecting. During our visit to see the space, Leo suggested we use the main dining area instead, as it offered much more room and would be a better fit for our vision—and he was absolutely right. That flexibility truly elevated the whole event.
One of the things that made the experience even more stress-free was the fact that they allowed us to drop off all of our decorations and desserts the night before. This small detail made a huge difference, giving us peace of mind on the day of the event. On the day itself, the staff handled all the setup and did an outstanding job bringing everything to life just as we imagined.
The food was delicious and thoughtfully presented. Our menu included three appetizers, a main course, and dessert. I loved that they served all three appetizers—it was the perfect way for everyone to try a bit of everything. Everything was reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the service and the experience overall.
If you’re looking to host a private event, I highly recommend Osteria MKT. I’ll definitely be returning as a customer. Huge thanks to the entire staff for making my sister’s special day absolutely perfect!

Nice decor, friendly efficient service. The lamb pappardelle was great but typical. The tiramisu was a bit more unique and a perfect ending to the meal. Wine recommendation worked well. The pear martini was a smooth.
After going a few times the quality seems to has decreased i will no longer be going to mkt. the price did not reflect the quality.

I Went to Osteria MKT with a friend the other night and we were delighted! I had the oysters to start off with, served as I love them, and then the pappardelle with lamb as my main. Honestly, one of the best plates of pasta I've had in the city :drooling_face:. Their tiramisu is quite good as well :) And Shelby was great too. Will be back soon!

I celebrated my father’s 60th birthday at Osteria Mkt, and it was an amazing experience. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and the atmosphere was welcoming with friendly staff. Based on that great experience, I decided to return for my own 30th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, this time, things didn’t go as smoothly.
The portions were much smaller than before, and many guests left still hungry. When we spoke to the manager and asked if more food could be brought out, he told us it was based on the menu we chose and nothing could be done. The group menu we selected was the same one we had for my father’s birthday, but the portion sizes were noticeably different. While we encountered a few other issues, I’ll spare the details.
However, we decided to reach out to the restaurant to share our feedback, and one of the owners, Perry, took the time to listen and understand our concerns. He was genuinely surprised by our experience and immediately offered a solution: a complimentary meal for $500 to make up for our disappointing visit.
We returned last night as a group of four, and I’m so glad we did. Perry greeted us warmly and explained how the offer would work, even mentioning that any unused portion of the $500 would be given to us as a gift card. The service was exceptional, and the food was phenomenal. We all left feeling incredibly satisfied.
I’m so grateful to Perry for his thoughtful response and for ensuring that our visit was a memorable one. Despite the hiccup on my birthday, I truly believe Osteria Mkt is a fantastic restaurant, and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for turning things around and for your commitment to customer satisfaction!

Pasta special was ok; salad was great; risotto was great; walnut cake was super dense and altho taste was ok the texture is super heavy and sticky; I wouldn’t order it again. Tea came with an espresso cup - I had like 4 tiny cups of tea; please consider getting bigger tea cups.
Music was random covers … I didn’t think it came with the Italian theme.
