Amazing restaurant. Food, wine and service was exceptional. Somewhat overpriced though.

Paid 140$ to get food poising. Every meal was worst that the last. I don’t know why every single dish was salty and sweet at the same time. Mozzarella cheese and an orange slice… yeah I think not. The tuna was mushy and stringy and don’t get me started on the duck… I’ve had better airplane food. idk the flavour combo of every meal was just off. The first bite of desert was good but then it got really heavy. Trying too hard to be different and miserably failing. The servers were really nice though.

Food was amazing. Remember to book for brasserie instead of sala as the menu is a bit different. I had the duck confit. Highlight of the night indeed. The bone mayone w snail was good but it's not my thing. The cauliflower side was surprisingly good. A well balaced taste with capers and cheese. Salty and sour but has a hint of diary touch. Well-done. For desert i had the Paris xxx. Didnt disappoint. Good Value For money. Book 3 days in advance at least for a spot

Even with so many 5 star reviews I feel inclined to write ! This place is magnificent. The food is delectable, every dish was quality and tasteful. The mushroom gnocchi was probably the best ive ever had, and as many others the bone marrow dish was amazing. Oh and the passionfruit dessert hands down. My drink was also one of the best ive had.

Monarque is a beautiful spot with a classy yet comfortable feel. The food is thoughtful and just really well done. Service was warm and professional, and the wine list is top notch. Definitely a must-try when you’re in Old Montreal.

Had dinner here in the main dining area, and it was exceptional across the board. Very extensive wine list (think >500 options) for those who know their way around a bottle. Service was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. Favorite main dishes were the tuna tartare, venison, braised leek / tortellini, and roasted duck, but the single best thing I ate was probably the passion fruit pavlova - still dreaming of it!
We are Anglophones and had some reservations that we might not get great service at a higher end establishment in Montreal, but it was not an issue at all. The staff clearly take their jobs seriously - if you reciprocate by appreciating the experience and being engaged (i.e. not staring at your phone all evening), you can expect to receive good service :)

Food mid. Service fair.
I can't believe such a nice restaurant has above average food. The wait staff was in a hurry.
Duck confit: quality does not keep up with price
Brocoli and octopus: leaving no impression
Bone marrow is only dish 9/10.
