Pretentious price. The dishes are very basic. The salmon gravlax was partly dry. “Wedge” potatoes: too small portion, quality/price. The PCP mocktail is well concocted, except that half of the cut is foam ? Disappointed with my visit…

We received good comments about this restaurant, so we went there for brunch this Sunday.

I didn't like the atmosphere of the restaurant even though the decor was beautiful with the large windows. I found it was not welcoming and the tables were close to each other.

As for food, I had a breakfast sandwich made with homemade bread. The bread was really ordinary and dry. The sandwich was ok nothing more. The breakfast potatoes are not "lunch potatoes", they looked like very soft and greasy Greek potatoes. I only took a bite. I am convinced that these are the same potatoes that are served for lunch and supper The meal was very average as was the atmosphere.

Positive point, the service.

Well I want to share my despair experience at the moment when I am eating at their place my first and my last time guaranteed what we see in the photos is not true very selective service and you had to ask for the menu you had to remind them to come and bring me a glass of water to take my order it looked like I had the plague or I was in quarantine I shouldn't get too close I felt like a public danger other people arrived later I was served and I ate the shit like a good Quebecer, I shared my meal with you which I felt served with a lot of hatred while I kept my calm and my smile, I was seriously disappointed with the place. I do not recommend if you are not white eyed evil

I’m from the United States, and this was the BEST burger and potato wedges I have ever had. Like genuinely I audibly gasped - whoever made that burger you deserve to win the lottery. Not to mention, it’s open late so you can study for as long as you need or hang out. The staff was SO kind and friendly. If I lived here, I would be there everyday. This business a MUST-STOP.

No more paper to try your hands in the toilet, bottle of water on the table super sticky, candied salmon that looked like frozen salmon bought at Costco with lots of over-oiled fennel. The service was still ok.

Step into Monk Cafe in Montreal and be enveloped in a tranquil oasis. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the lush greenery that fills every corner of this charming cafe. Full plants and verdant walls create a cozy atmosphere that feels like a warm hug. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

But the ambiance is just the beginning. The food at Monk Cafe is equally impressive, with each dish expertly presented and bursting with flavor. The menu offers a delightful range of options to suit every taste, and the staff is happy to offer recommendations.

As I sipped my coffee and savored my meal, I felt like I was in a serene garden, surrounded by nature's beauty. The plants and greenery add a touch of magic to the space, making it feel like a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with delicious food and drink, look no further than Monk Cafe.

Most chill people have met. The food was great. My highlight was the thick juicy bacon that comes with the eggs and potatoes. The potatoes are well seasoned too. Would recommend.

Very nice café with good ambience for brunch and fresh products (specially the mushrooms since they have a partnetship with a local producer that you can even buy to take home) Some plates mexican inspired just in case you want to get out of traditional brunch menus. Very polite service and price was decent. Recommended will definitely come back for dinner ( some days they have live music)

The interior of Monk Café is beautifully designed, creating a wonderful ambiance. I’m giving this place 5 stars because the customer service is outstanding. The owners genuinely care about their business and quickly resolved any issues we had, which made us feel truly valued as customers. The drinks are fantastic, and the staff's service and attitude are impeccable. Plus, they show football matches, which my bf absolutely loved. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. I highly recommend visiting Monk Café — you won’t be disappointed!

An oasis in the heart of Ville-Émard on Monk Boulevard. All dishes were EXCELLENT. I give it a rating of 6 out of 5. ? Plate of perch, Caesar salad with chicken breast, home fries, grilled cauliflower.
