Taverne Monkland, also known as Monkland Tavern, offers fantastic pasta dishes, with excellent and creative Italian-inspired food. The service is attentive, yet unobtrusive. The chef uses high-quality ingredients, and the fish dish is excellent. The staff are commendable for their attentive service. The ambiance and atmosphere attract many visitors, creating a friendly and popular vibe, especially during the summer on the terrace. The restaurant is known for its consistent table d'hote, specials, and overall great food. Drinks are superb and unique, and the wine list is worth exploring. Although there is room for improvement in the wine selection, Taverne Monkland remains highly recommended for its delicious food and excellent service, making it one of the best restaurants in Monkland and in the western part of the city.
