Not a soul in the place, we were a party of 5. We asked if we could move a table over to join a setting of four beside the window to make the atmosphere nicer for our meal. The answer was no, no reason given just flat out no. We decided their empty dining area could stay that way.
Took my hubby to Montreal for his first time and he was obsessed with trying poutine so we went to the first spot we found on our first day in town. Real tourist trap but worth being a tourist :) Ordered the regular poutine and initially the serving we were delivered look amazing but the fries were so cold none of the cheese curds melted and I was left sorely disappointed yes. HOWEVER, the lovely server brought us a new dish of piping hot fries and gravy so the cheese melted instantly and the gooey delicious mess was thoroughly enjoyed exactly as it should.
After an hour waiting for the food, we were super disappointed to see very ok food and mediocre cocktails. It’s probably the only bad place in old Montreal.
Don't go here. It's a tourist trap and a god aweful one at that!
The restaurant was great, the food was excellent, however, I think that the servers could wear more appropriate outfit, more decent outfit. One of them was as though she was serving at the beach, almost with a bathing suit top. This is my opinion
Tried the poutine which was good. The sauce was excellent. Fries were ok. But overall one of the better poutines I have had in the city. Also tried the smoke meat platter. Smoke meat was ok. Nothing special. I think what bothered us the most is the WATERED DOWN sangria. $35 for pitcher that has so little actual alcohol. Made it feel like a tourist trap and we live in Montreal. We wouldn’t go back.
Service was efficient. Tables are soooo small for 4 people it’s ridiculous. Not comfortable to sit, eat and enjoy.
Overall, pretty good. Portion sizes were decent which is to be expected considering it's $18 just for a regular poutine. One thing to note: they don't offer tap water, we had to buy a bottle of water which always leaves a bad impression for me personally. Costs nothing to offer tap water.
Ordered the poutine with fried onions (vegan option). Was delicious! Non vegan friends enjoyed theirs too. Very cozy place and friendly service.
We only got the regular poutine. It is a vegetarian gravy, so that was great.
The poutine was fantastic and the vibes and service were really good.

It’s on the second floor and might be missed walking down St Paul street. Inside is nice, a bit rustic but you can view the street down below if you’re seated near the windows. Poutine is one of the best I’ve had around and really enjoyed it, beers were also good, really a shame that they don’t serve tap water and the small bottle of water costs 4$, only place in a Montreal where I didn’t get served free water, funny that it comes with ice cubes in the glass so clearly there are no problems with the tap :) . I’d drop this practice since is really not worth the bad reviews, poutine were great, maybe a couple of dollars too expensive considering that you pay for everything. Will come back but I’ll have to maybe sneak in my own water.

Wanted to try a poutine before we had to go back home and this looked like a great spot to try out. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a nice table by the window and watched people walking by. The hotdog was tiny but perfect for a little snack, enjoyed the poutine and the chicken tenders were nicely done.
