Unwelcoming and poor service

Stopped by with friends around 10 PM for a quick bite. Despite the restaurant closing at 11, we were offered a cramped table and denied a larger one “reserved for parties of six”—even though it was unlikely anyone else would arrive that late. Staff seemed inattentive and lacked basic hospitality.
The beer was served in a much smaller glass than advertised (20oz ≠ 0.5L), and the food—especially the “smoked meat”—felt more like luncheon meat. Maybe we should’ve stuck to poutine, which seems to be their only strong suit.
If you’re craving poutine, this might be the spot. Otherwise, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. A little friendliness and accuracy would go a long way.

Absolutely terrible service. We visited this restaurant as two families — one group of five (my sitter his husband , and three children), and a second group of four friends with a baby.
From the moment we arrived, the host staff was unwelcoming and dismissive.
Despite being polite and patient, the hosts gave us no explanation as to why they refused to seat or serve us. We repeatedly asked if there was an issue or how long the wait would be, but they offered no clear response — just vague and evasive answers.
To make things worse, we asked to speak with the manager, hoping for a more professional response. Unfortunately, the manager was just as unhelpful and could not provide any explanation or solution to our request.
For a place that claims to be family-friendly, this was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. A complete lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy. We left feeling disrespected and disappointed.
As Canadian citizens and tourists, we felt completely disrespected. This level of service is unacceptable anywhere — especially in a place that promotes itself as family-friendly. We strongly advise other tourists and families to avoid this restaurant. There are far better places where hospitality and basic courtesy are not forgotten.
Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone — especially families.

This was a nice place in a very nice location. The good is good, what you can expect from burguers and fries, but the best attibute is the location.

The servers were friendly, the food was very good, and the portions were huge. I highly recommend this place.

It was good. It was empty upstairs. They have an outside section which was busy and I think had a nicer atmosphere. Waitress was civil. Not rude but not overly friendly. As the bill was coming I asked for water as we had quite a walk back but she said they only had bottles so had to buy a bottle of eska for 4$ when they charge 2$ down the street. Anyway if someone asked how the meal was I'd say the place is fine.

If you want a beer, it has to be a pint. Seriously, they don’t have smaller glasses or it’s just an excuse to charge tourists $12. Had the chicken burger. Very average. Better places to eat in Montreal.

The poutine is good that is if you are seated in a comfortable table. My husband and I went there and they sat us in the sun and when we asked to be moved to a shaded table (there were 4 empty ones) we were told they can’t those are for four people.
Because it was so hot we moved to the bar where there were tons of bees. Yes she did tell us about the bees but we had no choice either make in thr sun or be attached by thr bees & the only reason being because they were saving those tables!
We were there for for over 30 min and those tables were empty the entire time. They prefer to keep them empty and have their current guest uncomfortable because they didn’t want to move us to a table for four.
I would not go back!

Really nice spot with good food and chill music playing. I loved the poutine and the house burger. The service was super friendly and fast. Totally recommend it!
