Place frozen in time! Same decor reminiscent of hospital cafeterias. A long bulletin board of photos of well-known visitors and yellowed business cards. A shabby wall, but clean. A real setting of a hungry worker who doesn't care about the rest! As soon as I pass Chinatown on St-Laurent, the irresistible desire to stop there overcomes me. I need authentic poutine and a steamed hot dog. Their know-how is at another level and unmatched in Montreal. The veterans behind the counter...

Nostalgia for my youthful years. Steamed hot dogs garnished with cabbage and onion mustard accompanied by homemade fries are always just as good. Too bad that only Montreal pool room remains. The golden corner and golden fries have unfortunately disappeared. Sniff.

Awesome counter restaurant for delicious, authentic steamies (hotdogs), poutine, fries, etc., in a historic restaurant, in a historic part of town. Highly recommended for tourists & locals alike.
