Brought a friend from NYC here who loved italian and wow did it not disappoint!

She spent a week in Montreal and she said this place was the highlight and the only authentic and high quality italian restaurant she had that was anything close to what she had back home.

I myself love Mucca because of it's artisanal dishes and high quality food. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff are exceptional

• Food was deceiving. I ordered pasta, and even though the menu changes every so often, I don't think it would matter much. The pasta itself was cold, albeit homemade. The whole plate in itself was lacking in flavours. My date ordered the same and she did not finish her plate. I've ordered a citrus tiramisu, and at least we finished on a good note. The white wine we ordered was mid, for ±$75, I expected better. [⭐⭐]

• The service had nice attention. Our wine cups and water glasses were never empty. I just wished the server would be more into wine recommendation based on what we ordered. [⭐⭐⭐⭐]

• Atmosphere is great, not spectacular. Tables can be close to each other, so for a private time it ain't the best (can be quite loud, need a few sips of alcohol to help you focus better). [⭐⭐⭐]

Came with high expectation and left with disappointment (well at least we are full)…the appetizers and pasta are underwhelming, and the steak was ok but still not something worthy to come back. We all found here a bit overhyped. It’s good to support the local ingredients but the cooking technique is just…ordinary. Service is good though!

Amazing service.
Burrata starter was tasty.
Pasta with swordfish was empty, no taste.
For 135$ bill (1 person) i expected more- went home and had supper again.

Scrumdelicious aged T-bone with smashed potatoes and greens. The veggies were tasty and I’d happily take double. We’ll definitely be back, though next time we would like to sit by the wall. Being in the middle meant a parade of butts and bellies brushing a little too close for comfort.

We had a great dinner at Mucca in Montreal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home. It’s located on Rue Saint-Zotique in the charming Little Italy neighborhood, which adds to the overall experience quiet, local, and full of character.

We started with the Fiori di zucca zucchini flowers filled with ricotta. The dish was light, subtly crisp, fresh, and beautifully presented.

For our main course, we ordered the Costata, a 20oz rib steak from Holstein cattle aged for 50 days. It was cooked perfectly medium, just as requested , great flavor, generously portioned.

To finish, we had ice cream served with a crisp waffle tucked in. It was incredibly delicious creamy, rich, and satisfying.

One thing we really appreciated is that Mucca makes many of its recipes fresh in-house including the bread, which was warm and delicious. That extra care in preparation really shows in the quality of service and food. The person who served us was friendly, attentive, and informative. We had different appetites and preferences, and they took the time to check in, understand what we were looking for, and recommend the most fitting dish for the evening. Their suggestion was spot-on, and we fully enjoyed it.

We also had the chance to speak with the chef / the owner , lovely people. They’ve started Mucca with a mission: to keep the menu simple, authentic, uncompromising in quality.

Everything we tasted was top-notch, and the pricing was very good for the quality offered. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their signature ice cream & the Tomahawk steak. 👍🎊

In town for an event, and our group of 9 randomly decided to try Mucca since it was a few blocks away.

Great decision! We were lucky to snag a few tables for the entire group and the Owner served us directly and essentially helped us customize a meal to suit our party size and preferences. She was so engaging and helpful explaining her farm to table approach.
We literally got 1 of everything on the menu! Ribeye, tbone, and tomahawk, Tagliatelle pasta, and charcuterie board. Steaks cooked to perfection medium rare.
Had good selection of local wines. Finished if off with few desserts. The Salame Cioccolato was surprisingly good! Literally looks like a thick slab of salame but rich chocolatey firm mousse. So good.
Loved the atmosphere and how engaging and helpful the owner was even when we had questions about montreal in general.
You Must try!

Classic with creative modern touch.
Food is like your aged-like-fine-wine-nona's cooking. Unexpected delicious busting flavors with beautiful depth of ingredients's unami.
Everyone was welcoming and Valérie at the bar gave us excellent wine recommendation.
Definitely will come back!

A must try. If you love Italian food this is the place for you- hand made pasta and rotating menu of fresh, local ingredients. The staff were incredible hosts, and the food was out almost instantly. Worth every penny.

As the rating shows. We enjoyed the food.
Most of the service was good but one lady server...the main server...was not very friendly.
