Words can not express the warmth and charm of this authentic traditional Greek restaurant. There are so many levels of appreciation I derived from this experience. First: The abundant and energetic staff is amazingly attentive; always nearby, but never hovering, waiting to serve your every need at a moment's notice, immediately acknowledging even a mere glance or gesture. Then, there is the food. A plethora of traditional Greek staples, each of which are executed with precision and detail unmatched outside of Greece, IMHO. The fresh ingredients, preparation, taste, and presentation are exquisite. Then, there is the ambiance, reminiscent of an auberge or grotto, the spacious bar, and dining room areas are warm and inviting. To top it off, there is live traditional Greek music engaging the guests, all of which combine to complete a very rare and uniquely satisfying dining experience. Highly recommend! BTW Waiter Kosta, together with the rest of the staff, is exceptional indeed! Don't forget to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

So this place was amazing when the old man was alive since then I don’t know. The guy singing George is terrible they will close down if they don’t respect him. Also as for this weekend why play Arab music? If they want Arab music they can go to their clubs. What’s this everywhere we go we need to hear their music!! You’re a Greek club don’t be a sellout stand your grounds and just keep playing OUR music. It’s literally the only place we have left. Terrible!!! Then we wonder how other take over!!!

The food was above and beyond. Service was great. My only complaint was that the restaurant was very cold. The door opens and the draft was uncomfortable. I wore my coat on my lap throughout the meal. The lamb chops and octopus were to die for.

Its a very competitive line of work and especially in todays culinary world.I have been there 2 times with my brother honestly looking back mythos is living in the past ..I had talked about mythos with a lot of food professionals living in montreal and all of them go back into the past why not today?..and they were greek quote"if we want to have a good time dance listen to music and have drinks we usually go there but not so much for the food"..My experience was ok wasnt impressed as i think the food served at mythos comes in at third place they emphasize on the music scene which is very good the service is fine but the food i will say no..Even though its a family run resto with aunts and moms in the kitchen homemade phyllo could be achieved without the boring rubbery store bought kind..And since most comments here are based on friends and who knows who being honest never pleases anyone.The food isnt Mythos forte it needs to change ..The general atmosphere is retro greek 80s and needs more light especially when serving food.In a nutshell Mythos needs to upgrade renovate and take a serious look on where it emphasizes because most people go to Mythos ouzeri for dance music maybe a wedding christening not for the food.Milos award winning michelin star milos is just down parc..I would give my customers a serious reason to come back to mythos for the food.They do have the potential they are just not motivated enough.

I had been to Mythos exactly 10 years ago for a special occasion. I remembered them fondly for a great atmosphere, delicious food and nice staff. I had the pleasure of going back recently and although smaller now (no longer an upstairs where I attended that special occasion 10 years prior) the food is still delicious, especially the grilled lamb, it's divine! And the lightly breaded zucchini and eggplant is an absolute must! - thinly sliced, light and crispy, seasoned to perfection! Was not a fan of the rice, if you have a choice, potato is the better option.

We went for a friend's birthday - amazing service, atmosphere and food. Live music in the evening, the server was so very kind and thoughtful - the whole place has an elevated family/local feel to it - made me feel like I was back in Greece, with the live music and the Greek dancing by dinner-goers in the evening. Highly recommend. The slow-cooked chicken - absolutely delicious!

We took the group menu for $68/ person which came with several appetizers and main course, all share plates. Problem is when main course is 1 lamb chop, 1 small boneless chicken thigh per person when only chicken is written in the menu and sausage shredded on a cheese graters we felt underwhelmed. Not worth it, avoid the group menu.

I've generally avoided writing negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at Mythos , in hopes of preventing others from encountering similar issues. The food and service were both disappointing, especially considering the high price point (main dish was 58$ !!). The quality of the ingredients was subpar, and when I expressed my concerns about certain side dishes, the waiter's response was both dismissive and inaccurate, He told me that this is what people in Greece and Italy eat all day long !!! , which was very strange , given the crappy quality I experienced. There are numerous other restaurants in Montreal that offer excellent Greek cuisine at a more reasonable price. I would not recommend this establishment."
