The broth smells heavily of instant soup. The vegetables/meat in the soup were cooked just right, but that smell and taste of broth (supposedly the most important bit) was too bad.
Do not eat here! This is *not* authentic Chinese or Yunnan cuisine. The service was quite decent, but that could not ameliorate our concerns with the food. My boyfriend and I are fans of the Lanzhou hand pulled noodle shop across the street but couldn’t wait in the line during the cold for more than 15 minutes so we decided to eat here. I ordered chicken and fish maw soup and he ordered the spicy/mala fish soup. Our soups arrived quickly but curiously: the first tells were the color (my broth was an almost radioactive yellow), the inclusion of American broccoli and Naruto (Japanese swirl squid cakes) which were both out of place. The noodles were both overcooked and wrong for the type of soup (my egg noodles were in fact ramen noodles and his rice noodles resembled Vietnamese bún). Aside from these oddities, the soups were just plain gross and reeked of instant/powdered broth flavoring. We left pretty quickly after paying and both felt immediately a little nauseous.

The interior was well decorated, the taste was well hidden (never to be discovered) and the service was well delivered.
Vegetarian options: I don’t know, I’m not vegan but I saw it on the menu!

The broth was really bland and tasted like water. We had to ask for salt to add in. The meat and veggies were ok. A bol is around 15$ and we got the Szechuan and classic broth. The service was pretty quick and nice but I wouldn’t go there again.
