For some reason, it’s taken me year to check out Nora Gray and I’m very glad that I did. Lovely food and very thoughtful service especially when it came to wine recommendations.

A+ food.
My first time at Nora Gray by myself, because my foodie local friend said, “Try, you are in luck if you can get in.” I ordered tuna carpaccio and zucchini pasta. The pasta was impressive, from its aroma to texture and taste, especially its unique after taste sweetness was quite a delight! But the tuna… I had better. Sorry to say I was expecting the melt in your mouth texture with fresh balanced favour but the lemon juice somehow heavy handed so all was lost. The vibe was cosy, casual elegant. Servers were friendly and professional. Will try again.

The food was just fine, but for the portion sizes it was vastly overpriced. It was hard for our table to eat enough despite spending close to $100 per person and we all got pizza afterwards.

Excellent! Really enjoyed the gnocchi special. Torta Nero was spectacular.

I went on a date in this small cozy restaurant located in a beautiful neighbourhood.
The service was professional.
The ambiance was intimate.
The cocktail I ordered was not to my liking (too bitter).
They have only two small toilets, but I suppose it's proportionate to the size of the restaurant.
The food, albeit oily, was very good. I ordered the strozzapreti.
We had the luck to have a terrace spot on a beautiful day. It's a small terrace, bordering a semi-busy street.
The parking situation was easy for us ; it was paid street parking.
Bottomline, I would come back again to enjoy the delicious food and romantic, niche-y experience.

Great experience overall with knowledgable waitress. She pointed us in the right direction with wine choice and we pretty well let her choose our dishes, she did a fantastic job! I still prefer Gia over Nora Gray but I like how it’s a different menu.

One of the better meals I've had in my life. Worth the hype.

Great vibe, very decent food. Service was exceedingly slow. Very, very slow service, though the service in general was very polite and gave good insight on the menu. Meal easily took 30-45 minutes longer than it needed to just on service time, and I am not one to nitpick on this, it just killed the flow of an otherwise great dinner.
The food was great quality. Asparagus was great, along with all the pastas. The beef was tough, though it was well cooked with a great sauce. The pork was also very tasty.
I would go back, but only if the service issues are fixed.

Restaurantji Recommends
Lovely little restaurant aesthetically, great staff. I have been hearing about this spot for a while now and I have to say our experience was a letdown. We ordered most of the menu and everything was simply just okay - plus two people from our party got sick after dining here. I don’t think I would try it again, especially considering the price of dishes.

Feels like a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The exterior is quite low-key, but the interior is beautifully designed and full of charm.
Our first dish, Abricots, roquette, Salami Cotto, Agro di Mosto, was a classic — generous with the salami, yet not overly salty. The apricots added a perfect touch of sweetness that balanced everything out.
The second dish, Garganelli with morels, guanciale, and peas, was super creative. The addition of morels and peas gave it a sweet, earthy flavor that really stood out. The only downside? The portion was quite small!
The third course, Échine de porc Berkshire with spinach and agrodolce, had a beautifully balanced sweet-and-sour profile — likely thanks to some balsamic vinegar and other seasonings — which helped cut through the richness of the pork.

Lovely restaurant, good service provided. Portion size for what you pay is very poor.

I’ve been here about 5 times in the last 4 years. We are not from Montreal but every time we come to town we eat at Nora Gray. The staff is friendly, professional and they know their menu well. It’s obvious they’ve eaten what’s on it. Their cocktails and wine list are excellent and being from the USA it’s affordable. The food is spectacular and have never had a bad meal. The ambiance is quaint and charming and dinner here is always a highlight. I am from NYC and Nora Gray would easily succeed there. We are coming back to MTL next year and already looking forward to making our reservations
