Perfect in every way

Delicious, authentic and comforting noodle soup. It is the best joint in Montreal, more than in Chinatown. Perfect for a rainy or snowy day! Their Chinese hamburger is absolutely incredible.

What a little gem. Don't be put off by the exterior. The food is fantastic. All prepared in front of you. Limited menu but that didn't bother us. It's how good should be. No fuss and not messed about with. Absolutely lovely. You won't be disappointed

Quick easy pick for lunch on a cool day. Their lunch combo is great. Food is consistent day in and day out.

My favourite spot for lunch time noodles on a cool day. Pro tip for lunch: get there for 11:40 to secure a spot, it can get quite busy 🍜

My go-to lunch spot, best noodles in town!

Although the space is quite tight, it is probably one of the best if not THE BEST noodle place in Montreal.

I had this restaurant on my "Must try" list for so long and was super excited today to try it. Yes the food was good (soup was delicious but the base was a tad oily: felt the oil on my lips after). HOWEVER, there were a bunch of disappointments.

Firstly and most importantly, the cashier clearly either wanted to try to scam us into paying more or doesn't understand what she's doing. She told my friend and I that credit card is NOT accepted as payment (only debit or cash). My friend payed first and tapped her credit card, and it worked. My friend then left me there as she was late for something. I got the cashier's attention to let her know I am ready to pay and since she originally said they don't accept credit cards but my friend's credit card worked, I double checked if I could use mine. She told me yes they accept credit cards but charge an extra dollar and some for fees. This was so strange but I paid it due to me being tired. I asked the cashier how come she originally told us she wont accept credit card and then switched it to charging me a dollar and some for using it, and she got defensive and told me that is how it is and my friend should come back and pay the processing fee.

I am a very down to earth person and have an open mind with a lot of things, but this is absolutely mediocre. You cannot refuse credit and then switch up your story to charge us more. I felt so used and this changed my entire willingness to return to this restaurant. It makes me wonder how many other people she does this to, especially vulnerable students. I have never had a bad experience until now and it really sucks because my hopes were high for this place.

Secondly, the pasta is made freshly right there behind the window which is cool. However, the person making it slams the dough really hard on the counter making an overly loud and stimulating bang. This made our experience uncomfortable because it was already loud inside from the guests chatting while eating and the crowd lined up waiting for orders, and the banging on top of this was causing a horrible headache sensation.

I really hope something can be changed about this, at least the cashier issue because a business can have so much potential if you run it correctly.

NOTE: After posting this, I noticed a few other reviews in the past speaking about this same issue. So this really is a thing. Wow

Excellent fresh Chinese noodles, made on the spot. The food is of excellent quality, and I really liked the beef. However, for lunch, a place crowded with people, plan to eat at a table with other people. But I'd definitely recommend the restaurant for eat-in or take-away. A great discovery.

I got myself the spicy beef noodle regular size, loved it, tasty and and the portion is huuge. It's perfect meal to warm you up in cold winter nights. The place is literally a hole in the wall tho, the space is so cramped won't fit your winter coat lol
