One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal to which I kept going back for years. The service is professional and courteous. The barman knows the standard and classic cocktails (I love their martinis). I always order their cheeseburger, which never disappoint. I love the atmosphere of the place, it has something very unique, especially late at night. The prices are very reasonable!

I have to adjust my previous review as I went recently and unfortunately, the food was not good. There were 5 of us and we even tried each other's food and was surprised that things have changed for Nouveau Palais. Leaving it at 3 stars as the service was great, but the food was lacking.

I would have given 6 stars for the service tonight. Always a pleasure to find ourselves here, a place that we forget because it is at the end of our Mile End. Good, unpretentious food. Tasty burger and generous fries. Good atmosphere. And good prices. And discovery of beers brewed in the neighboring Mile Ex.
I would just like to draw attention here. Please stop adding gluten to your burger patties. I can't eat gluten. Think of me, a life without ever being able to eat anything. I'm ready to eat a burger without bun and with a magno reg, but God in heaven, the gluten in the patty is not necessary. You are making my life hell. More and more people are intolerant to gluten. I'm from the neighborhood, me and my friend don't come anymore because of that.

I had heard this place was known for a chill laidback atmosphere, we decided to go with a friend on a Thursday night. Food was alright- ordered two burgers and beer. Meat patty was nothing out of this world and it was probably my luck of getting the end bits of the fry basket.What did bother me was while we were eating the server kept asking if we were done. With food clearly on my plate. This happened about 3 times until she came around again and gave up and told her to just take the plate. She immediately brought out the bill and came over asking us to pay. I’m no stranger to busy restaurants and the need to clear a table, but the service overall felt extremely rushed.
