One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal to which I kept going back for years. The service is professional and courteous. The barman knows the standard and classic cocktails (I love their martinis). I always order their cheeseburger, which never disappoint. I love the atmosphere of the place, it has something very unique, especially late at night. The prices are very reasonable!
I have to adjust my previous review as I went recently and unfortunately, the food was not good. There were 5 of us and we even tried each other's food and was surprised that things have changed for Nouveau Palais. Leaving it at 3 stars as the service was great, but the food was lacking.
I would have given 6 stars for the service tonight. Always a pleasure to find ourselves here, a place that we forget because it is at the end of our Mile End. Good, unpretentious food. Tasty burger and generous fries. Good atmosphere. And good prices. And discovery of beers brewed in the neighboring Mile Ex.
