Cute sushi place with decent portions for a good price, very fresh sashimi, and excellent service. I was staying nearby for a few days and went back twice!

Picked up sushi from Okane a few times and the food was good and consistent each time. Staff is friendly and ready to accommodate when I ask for extra spicy mayo (not every shop is willing to do so).

Service was amazing! I would give all the 10 stars. However quality of fish was poor! I would give one star! That is why I am giving middle 3 stars.

Went last night. Was recommended their seafood salad however it was all iceberg lettuce, very little small cut up fish that was chewy and the dressing was really oily. We also got the spicy scallop roll and for 11 dollars there was very little scallop and it was mixed with tempura pieces. We also got a spicy salmon roll which was full of mayo and not spicy.

Additionally, they make their own soy sauce, mixing sugar into other soy sauce? Taking away from the flavour of the fish and food in general. Confusing as it’s in a kikoman bottle.

We had the shrimp tempura that was fried but the shrimp itself was soft and not cooked. Miso was salty….

Wouldn’t recommend

Love their sushi and sashimi combo, definitely better than your average takeout sushi and very fresh.

Best, freshest, most delicious sushi in Montreal. The salmon roll is to die for. Excellent service. Cute and cozy space in Griffintown.

Very welcoming experience with fresh ingredients and varied combo options. The waitress was so cheerful and the portions were generous. The price was also really reasonable for the amount we received.

This place is AMAZING. I’m super picky when it comes to sushi, but THIS spot has officially become my favourite in Montreal. The quality and size of the sushi are consistently great, and it's honestly very reasonably priced for what you get. The staff is also incredibly kind, the lady who works there always checks in to make sure I don’t have allergies and that everything’s perfect. When I first discovered this place, I literally went three days in a row. That’s how good it is.

The chefs roll was absolutely amazing and the sashimi was great in texture and flavour. And best of all, its at a very affordable price point. Highly recommended!

Decided on Okane after looking at tons of sushi places when visiting Montreal from Ontario.
We could not have chosen a better place. The sushi was fantastic, really well made and the service was the best. Our waitress was so accommodating to us with our four month old baby and helped us with the menu, what was recommended and serving sizes.
We are still obsessing over our experience. 100% will be back again next time we are visiting Montreal.

Thank you again!!

A great place to get sushi in griffintown. Staff is very friendly but not a lot of dining places.
