Our third visit. Nice dining room, nice atmosphere, and overall reasonably priced. Food is hit and miss. One of us had the duck, which was cooked perfectly, one of us had the swordfish which was slightly overdone. The scallop starter was overbooked, leaving the seafood very dry. Overall I would recommend.
Dommage!
Not only is La Maison Verte a hidden gem, it's one of the finest restaurants in all of Montreal. Our party of 3, dined in the upstairs veranda to enjoy a beautiful summer evening. From ice cold martinis, beef tartare, salads, black cod, seafood trio, rack of lamb to creme brule, it was exceptional! Charlie, our server was charming, attentive and paced our beautiful feast perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We cannot wait to return to La Maison Verte on our next visit to Montreal/Pierrefonds.
The food was excellent, however suggestion that a bread basket would be appreciated instead of only one bread per person. Firstly, our servers were there as soon as we sat. Very friendly and polite staff. We started with the snow crab raviolis, which was delicate and delicious. We then had a salad course, the golden beet salad was perfect, my friend had the caesar salad which was also very good. The main course took 45mins to get to the table after they removed our plates. We had no bread or anything to keep us busy, however the other tables around us had all been served, and they were larger tables, while we were only 2. The main dishes were also perfectly cooked when we did receive them, however they were lukewarm and the plates were piping hot. It was obvious that they were sitting at the window for a while. The duck was a perfect medium rare and delicious. The salmon was also prepared to perfection. The desserts were equally wonderful. Crème brulée and blueberry cheesecake. The noise level is quite high in certain sections. The wine by the glass wasn't even close to 5oz, at the most I was served maybe 4... All in all, we enjoyed the food, be prepared for a little wait between service.
Le service est superbe et la nourriture exceptionnelle! Leur nouveau menu du midi la semaine est délicieux et abordable! Je recommande 100%
The food was excellent from the fois gras to the yellow beet appetizer to the steak tartar. We were all beyond satisfied with our meals as usual. La Maison Verte is my go to restaurant on the West Island for French bistro cuisine, a nice ambience and excellent service.
I love the main course. We ordered the lamb steak which is the chef's choice and the seafood platter. Both of them are so good. The dessert was okay but not as amazing as the main course.
2nd time we go there and the food is again not on point. We thought it was ok the first time, with points to improve so we tried again but this time was worse. The sweetbread was terribly salty and was uneatable. The rack of lamb we ordered was blue when asked to be cooked medium rare. Very disappointed again. Will not return.
Fine dining at its best. A enjoyable experience of comfortable ambiance, friendly helpful staff and delicious food. The location offered a lovely view of the water through the many large windows. I highly recommend La Maison Verte.
Food was blend and way overpriced. Not worth the value. Service was slow and waiter did not even ask how everything was. Heard great things about this restaurant but Very disappointed when tried it for the first time.

The excellent, innovative food and outstanding service in a very comfortable, quiet setting, gave us the perfect venue for our family reunion dinner. We were even able to accommodate our vegan family members though the selection while delicious was limited. I would recommend La Maison Verte anytime.
This restaurant is without doubt one of the best around. The food is very good, and the service is excellent. The atmosphere in the house and on the terrace are very inviting. We celebrated our 25th anniversary in this restaurant. And it was the best place we could be.
We had the lamb shank which was very tasty, fall of the bone soft. The Arctic char was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is very nice, the tables are spaced and there is a view of the river from the dining room.
This was our first time visiting La Maison Verte however our guest had been there several times for lunch. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and service was wonderful. The restaurant is very charming. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spectacular meal in the West Island. Will be going back hopefully very soon!
They have a great big screened in terrace with a nice view. Very good Sunday to Thursday 3 coarse promo covering most dietary needs ! Two appetizer choices, at least four main coarse choices with a fish and beef dish among the choice and to end with your choice of tea or coffee they offer a house dessert, all for $28.00. Very good rustic indoor ambiance, as I mentioned a great terrace, friendly service. Overall a very good restaurant !
