Was happily surprised by the food. I had heard good things and wanted to check it out for myself. The restaurant itself looks like a basic tavern on the inside, the food spoke for itself. Highly recommended
The food was luxurious without the luxurious price tag. The ambience was ultra cozy and it was special to see how calm and passionate the chef was while he cooked. The whole place appeared to be managed by 2 people (chef, waiter) so it didn't feel industrial and felt like how a restaurant should feel.
Very disappointed about it. We had high expectations because of its high rating on Google, but a $78 sashimi set, the most expensive sashimi set on the menu is so tiny portion that even for me, a New Yorker would find it unreasonably priced. The chirashi bowl, which was ordered by our neighbor desk and is only half of the price, has no significantly less quantity of fish.
