Been to Palme many times over the years and had such a great experience today that I decided to write this review.

I typically bring friends who are visiting Montreal to Palme because the food is so flavourful and their menu has a good variety of options. Today several dishes were tried and enjoyed by all!

The ambiance is relaxing - whether sitting inside or on the terrasse. I also have to add that every time I have been there, the customer service is exceptional and attentive, which for me is an important part of creating a positive dining experience. Definitely recommend. Super happy that they have a few days of the week where they are open for lunch as well!

My first experience with Caribbean food.

Might be on the more expensive side, but i think it’s similar for many places in the neighbourhood. The portion is big though.

You might think the meat is dry, but eaten with the mashed sweet potato, it’s good.
The dish is true to the description: it is sweet, so don’t be surprised.

The air conditioning is quite strong, so sit closer to the entrance and it’s wonderful.

Went here for dinner last night with some friends and had the poulet à la jerk. The food is phenomenal and the spices are to die for. The restaurant was crazy busy when we got there and there was a big wait for everything, but the server was really nice and the food made it so worth it.

This place is a joke. As someone who works in the food industry I try to jot judge too harshly when I go out, but this was the 1st and last time this place will see myself or any of my family and friends. We came out to celebrate my sister's birthday, called in advance over 1 month ago and 24hrs before to verify that everything was good to go, but it was far from it. Ordered our food at 7pm and at 9:14pm as I still sit in the restaurant and write thisbreview, some people in my party still have not received their food. The cod fish balls are flour balls and the jerk chicken is overly fried fried chicken covered in a jar jer sauce. The turkey wontons could use some turkey too. Wasn't impressed at all. This was an extremely sad night out for a birthday dinner. I guess if you can't cook and have never tasted authentic West Indian food then you will be happy here, otherwise.........Not worth the money

So I actually dined here with some friends when we were on a trip back in August 2023 and we actually all still talk about how good the food was here. The drinks were great, vibe was great, but the food was spectacular. I ordered the jerk chicken and it was literally so good I ordered another one to take home with me. I still think about this meal to this day. Would highly recommend.

Yes, you want to eat the beautiful food here. Artfully conceived, lovingly prepared ingredients in all the dishes we had here. Relaxed, attentive service. I loved the “palm tree” localeinspiration behind this concept. A lot of great flavors happening.

I've had several yummy meals here and the ambiance and music is always great. This shrimp Mac and cheese blew my mind. I'd seriously order it again and again, the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. It hits the spot and is like perfectly spiced. The fried chicken was alright for me, well cooked but not everything was spiced or sauced to my preference- especially in contrast to the amazing quality of the mac and cheese (still solid though). Will say that the portion of chicken was nice, and as a leftover I can add more sauce at home. The service is also amazing. And this cocktail, while being out of my comfort zone with a tequila base was a delicious. The server took my explanation of my tastes and made a great recommendation.

Tried Palme Restaurant for a solo lunch recently—it’s just a five-minute walk from my office, so perfect for a midday break. First thing I appreciated: they offer a lunch menu, but only Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 to 3 PM. A nice little treat if you’re nearby and want something a bit special without overthinking it.

I ordered the fried chicken bowl and asked if I could add a half-portion of sweet potato fries. The staff was super accommodating about that. Heads up: portions are generous. I couldn’t finish it all, but trust me, that fried chicken is worth pacing yourself for. Light, crispy outside, juicy inside, with a thin honey sauce that’s subtle—just enough to tie it all together without making the chicken soggy or overly sweet. One of those bites where you pause and think, “Okay, they get it.”

They also include their homemade pikliz, which is spicy (the real kind, not the “hint of spice” kind). So if you’re new to Haitian cuisine, be ready for a kick—it’s the good kind of heat, though, fresh and sharp.

The only thing I wasn’t entirely sold on was the mesclun salad. A few leaves felt either a bit wilted or too wet, not sure if it was old greens or maybe just a heavy hand with the vinaigrette.

All in all, it came to about $30 with tax and tip, which felt fair for the quality and amount of food. Especially nice if you’re looking for something flavorful and filling but not overly heavy for lunch.

Would I go back? Absolutely—especially if I’m craving that fried chicken again.

Music was not appealing to the cuisine. Just what staff wanted to hear. The Jerk Chicken was extremely tender and the spice was just perfect. On the other hand I'm not sure what the chef was doing with that salad. Too oily and rustic, no personal touch just extra plate filling.

The food here is phenomenal, featuring a wide range of options from soups and entrees to desserts and cocktails. The staff creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like family. If you're in the mood for a throwback experience, join Palme on Thursday when a DJ is available to take you down memory lane with great music.

We recently celebrated our staff Christmas dinner at Palma.I can’t thank Fabio and his team enough for making it an amazing evening.
The food was outstanding. Wagu sliders were delicious. The Sushi boat platters were smoking!! Literally. The steaks were cooked to perfection.Everything was spot on, including the service. Our waitress was amazing as was the support staff. The Dj was on point and the vibe was great.
I highly recommend Palma
