I had a very nice experience here, and a part of it thanks to the very attentive, polite and friendly server Michael. The food was not outstanding, but overall very good with beautiful presentation. I also like the atmosphere here, it’s very calm and perfect for a date night.

I always have a reservation about eating in a hotel restaurant however this place was wonderful. The breakfasts were amazing and the service was wonderful. We ate dinner on several occasions and the braised beef was delicious and tender. Fun cocktails and again great staff.
From what was advertised and their menu, there was very little for the cold buffet. The prepared meals were ok overall. Service was great but not worth it your looking for buffet. If you have time to walk sound Montreal, I'd recommend to look around and see what else there is. Overall, it was ok.
A Cozy cafe in the Omni hotel, my husband and I enjoyed a Canadian favorite: poutine with a generous helping of cheese curds. My salmon with winter veggies was delicious and Matt liked his smoked meat sandwich. I finished my meal with the soft and pillowy chocolate fondant with fruit.
Vegetarian options: My salmon with winter vegetables was great, the Brussels sprouts were slightly crispy but still tender and the broccoli was super tasty too. They also had an avocado veggie burger and a roast cauliflower.
Dietary restrictions: They were very attentive for another diner (I do not have dietary restrictions) but they were listening and did their best to accommodate them. They also list items that are vegetarian, gluten free, ect.

Repas très bon. Ambiance ok.
Awful service
Delicious hearty salad. Warm friendly and helpful service. Highly recommend the Opus Café. Luis the waiter was kind, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located close to city centre with easy access to a variety of popular neighbourhoods . The lobby area is quite small and has a lovely bar with comfortable seating. The rooms are spacious with large windows and a pretty good view. There is a pool on a separate level with limited seating and a view on the city, the back portion of it, mostly occupied by sun beds mostly overlooks a wall which isn't quite the best. The concierge and front desk stuff were very helpful. Overall a great stay!
The Hotel itself was a great hotel in a great location at a reasonable price for downtown Montreal. The rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfortable with a very large and modern bathroom but the best feature of the hotel by far was the Valet attendant, PIERRE!!! We have never met a more accommodating hotel employee in our life. From the time we pulled into the hotel until the minute we left the next day, Pierre went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our stay every time we passed through the lobby and always asked if we needed anything. He apologized to us when we first arrived that he would not be able to park our truck for us because the Hotel does not "allow" them to park trucks anymore due to a new policy. So what does he do, he literally walks me directly to the parking lot across the street and explains everything I need to know from there. Pierre has been working at this Hotel for 41 years and in my opinion, should be the highest paid employee there. If you want your hotel business to succeed, it starts with people like Pierre. On top of all this, he had us in tears laughing so hard every time we saw him and is literally the nicest guy we have ever met. Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, you need to reward this man in a big way because I guarantee you, people return to your hotel strictly because of him, I know we will!!!

Have stayed here 4-5 times in the last 12 months. Great central location, with access to shopping, Metro (subway), restaurants and nightlife. Reasonably priced rooms for the area. Rooms are in relatively good shape.
Really a good restaurant in the hotel - great staff too. The menu is varied and darn good - we were there for 4 days and sampled various meals through our stay.
We were in the city for 3 days, on a mini vacation. I've stayed in the city many times but this was our first visit to this hotel. As far as location goes, it was great, very close to all attractions. Check-in was very fast, very easy, and we were able to check into our room 4 hours early. The room itself was okay, a little dated but clean and the view was great. Most of the staff was very nice, the doorman, the front desk staff, but the lady that was working on the 3rd floor fitness area was very rude. We walked down to check it out as we were leaving the hotel to grab a bite to eat. She didn't say hello, she simply said "ummm excuse me" in a very abrupt manner. So we asked where the pool was (I was tired, I meant jacuzzi), she said "Umm it's outside". We felt extremely unwelcome. When I corrected myself, she said it's right over there but then asked if we were just coming from outside because she didn't want us to get dirt on the floor.... first of all, I get that you don't want people tracking dirt, salt etc. from their outdoor footwear into this area, however, there are much more polite and welcoming ways of going about it. When I explained that we were not outside, we were coming from our room, she just asked for our room key and that was it. If the rest of the staff was like this, I'd never go back to this hotel. On the day of checkout, there was a charge on my credit card for the bar at this hotel, which we didn't visit. I called down to the front desk, the person who answered the phone was very nice, very helpful and very professional. He called me back within 5 minutes, explaining that it was indeed an error and they had it reversed right away. Also, the cleaning staff: they are very diligent, so much so that on two of the mornings we were still in our room (with the door latched from the inside) they knocked and we were still asleep, they tried to enter the room, so if you're inside your room, make sure you put your do not disturb sign on the door until you leave the room in the morning.
We enjoyed a dinner here recently, a rib-eye steak that was quite tasty. One thing that bugs me is they have the daily special listed on the menu in a specially outlined box. $25 is listed at the top, near the pasta special. The other 2 meat specials are right underneath. One would assume by looking at the specials box that all 3 meals would be $25 each, right? Nope,....when the bill came, the meat specials were $31. DH had the rib eye steak which was tasty and tender. Mine, on the other hand, came out med-well instead of med with some pink. Attentive server brought it back to the kitchen, DH ate his meal and about 10 minutes later, my steak came out. This time it was perfect AND they gave me the strip steak because they had run out of the rib eye. Delicious. Vegs and potatoes quite generous portions. So, I think they need to re-think the way they list the specials and list ALL the prices on, not just the lowest price one. I thought this was deceptive advertising, costing us an additional $12 + tax and tip. Service was good, attentive and friendly. No complaints here.
