Petros in Griffintown is a great-looking place—nice decor, chill vibe, definitely a good spot to sit down and feel a little fancy.
We ordered a few appetizers: the grilled calamari was amazing, the Greek salad was fresh, the fried zucchini was okay, and the sardines were… just there. Tasty overall, but the prices for apps were way too high.
For mains, we got the lamb chops and the chicken. The waiter hyped the lamb like it was life-changing—it wasn’t. Dry and underwhelming. The chicken, on the other hand, was the star of the night—juicy and full of flavour. Fries? Soggy and sad.
All in all, Petros has great atmosphere and a few hits on the menu, but it’s a mixed bag. I’d go back but not for the lamb chops and the fries.
Service was good overall, the waiters are easy and attentive. Felt like we aged a bit waiting for the mains.

Our waiter was inattentive, never asked if we were enjoying our meal, never asked about dessert or coffee, never smiled and never even said thank you after I paid the bill. Really unprofessional behaviour. I wrote to the resto with the same issue but never heard back. A disappointing experience since I had dined there several times before.

This was our first time trying out authentic Greek food and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Our waiter Marino was very nice and attentive; he gave us great recommendations. The seafood and appetizers were especially good. He even gave us complementary Greek desert! Thank you so much Marino, we will be back!

We had an amazing dining experience at Petros Griffintown! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive thanks to our waiter Marino, who was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, and made us feel so welcome throughout the meal. We ordered the moussaka and the pikilia platter, and both were incredible. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Greek food, great ambiance, and top-notch service. Ask for Marino if you can—he really made the night special!

Let me start by saying that I was late to arrive as I had another function to attend to. We are here for a baptism and let me tell you the service has a lot to be desired. Since I was arriving late, they kept hounding my wife for the main course option for me (didn’t not even ask for my son, just brought him chicken). Within 5 minutes of bringing the dishes they kept coming around for to ask if they could bag the two meals, and kept asking to take away the dish. When it was time for desert they served the pieces of cake in one dish in the center of the table. I had to go ask the waiter for at least some plates for us to eat, when he answered me “they are there”. When he finally came to bring the dishes we asked for some forks he went two seats over and took the forks that were used and tried to give it to us. When I glared at him he looked and just took the forks and walked away and came back with clean forks. Never came by to ask for coffee. Or if we needed anything else. The food was very good. But the service will definitely make me think twice about coming back here.
