We’ve been coming here for years, but everything has gone downhill. The pho broth is bland, the meat is tough, and apparently they don’t even serve it bean sprouts anymore????? Fresh rolls are mostly noodles with barely any filling.nothing tastes the same

When it came time to pay, the bill was higher than usual. The waitress said the printer was broken and couldn’t explain why but after asking for someone else, it turned out we were overcharged for an extra meal. So disappointing and honestly feels greedy.

Despite seeing many negative reviews, I’d like to share my appreciation for the staff and the chef..... the soups were absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. For those who don’t know, the restaurant has its own free parking behind the building.

13aout'25. °°° MISE À JOUR °°°
Leur cuisine, cette semaine, a reçu une amende accumulative de $4.500 pour insalubrité.
Voir photo de la date de ma facture : 18avril'25, lors de ma première et dernière visite. Oufffff !!
Faites gaffe !!

The worst Pho soup I've ever had in Montreal. A total waste of ingredients and money !
When I arrived there was only one table with clients. Mine was the second one.

I always, always, make it my habit to read reviews, before going to a restaurant. Always.

Customers are the perfect thermometer for whether or not we'll give them our money.

But I wanted to give Pho 88 a try, and I regretted not following the suggestions of dissatisfied customers.

But it won't happen again.
No way!

The broth was tasteless, there were no spice or seasoning traces ! Nothing. No flavor, like water and the beef, elastic and difficult to chew.

I mentioned this to the waitresses and tried to speak to the chef, but the two ladies in the kitchen didn't speak English or French, despite my attempts to explain the situation.

The price of that waste was over $18, and I couldn't finish it. More than half remained on the plate, and I left.

And reading the other customer reviews, the restaurant's quality is going from bad to worse.
A real shame !

No, I definitely don't recommend Restaurant Pho 88.

Instead, go to Boulevard Cote des Neiges. You'll find excellent places there, guaranteed.
You have some spots in my previous reviews.

What a waste !!!!!

The food was fresh and flavorful, all at an affordable price. The space is large with plenty of seating, and the simple, modern interior creates a relaxed vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We ordered their smoothies and they were absolutely delicious!

I had an amazing dining experience at Pho 88, a Vietnamese gem! I ordered the Regular Special Spicy Beef with Vermicelli, and wow — it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and comforting, with just the right level of spice. 😋🔥 The serving was generous — it looked more like a large than a regular! Totally worth it. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend! 🇻🇳🍜

The broth is pretty rich, I enjoyed the flavor. The meat wasn't top quality, but it also wasn't the worst that I've had. They didn't have any Thai basil, or Thai chillies. The extra large is a little too big for me, too many noodles and too little meat. The service was weird, I had to write down my own order for some reason. They had a durian smoothie that was actually awesome. I really enjoyed that. The ambiance at the restaurant wasn't great, but I never really expect much on that front when it comes to pho places. Overall, I'd give this place 3.5 on 5. I'll be back to try some of their other dishes and drinks.

This is definitely one of the best if not the best go to Pho place in Montreal. Your soup will be ready within 10-15 mins. Restaurant is clean and there’s always a calm atmosphere. Toilets are clean. Staff is welcoming and they all have a good attitude.
I highly recommend. I always go there for a chicken and veggies Pho extra chicken.

The restaurant needs a decoration upgrade. Dark and depressing feel. The chicken and rice are delicious. I tried the soup and it wasn't as toasty as the small soup served with the meal. Portions are generous.

I always come here or even delivery sometimes because its near to my apartment.

My always go to order is Pho with beef meat balls, the rare beef and grilled pork chop with rice. I love the salad and the sauce too.

Two thumbs up.
