I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The food doesn’t taste right. it takes like trash and not for the human. We came because of the good reviews, but it seems like all those reviews are fake. wasted

northern plates, the pho ga is extremely good. the noodles pho are quality. beef salad is very good as well, it has a personal touch. bun chan meats are better than in hanoi. my only ask is to give more herbs!! Vietnamese food is all about herbs!
Very good, very friendly - very good authentic Vietnamese food!!

Finally A U T H E N T I C North Vietnam Pho. The best one ever so happy I discovered this place. The broth is fantastic and the chef made me a delicious bowl even I showed at closing time. So nice to see someone taking pride in his cooking. This is my new favorite place ??
So, I was in a mood: specifically, a mood for Vietnamese food. My taste buds were chanting "pho ga, pho ga!" So off we went in search of that magical chicken soup. They gave us a choice: clear rice noodles or "regular." Staff suggested the clear noodles, saying that’s the traditional way they roll in Vietnam, and who am I to argue with noodle wisdom? So, my partner and I went for it, and let me tell you: chef’s kiss. Tasty, delicious, and had me wondering if I could buy a lifetime supply.
Oh, and there was a dipping sauce for the chicken—delightful little bonus. Plus, free water! Because hydration is important, kids. And get this: the bathroom had Michael Jackson album covers plastered all over. As an MJ fan, I might’ve done a little moonwalk right then and there.
Total damage? About $37 with tip, and for two people? Total bargain ?

We had a craving for Pho on a chilly fall day in Montreal. This place does not disappoint. The owner personally came up to us and explained that the pho he serves here is true to what a traditional pho in Vietnam would be like. He explained the difference in flavor and serving preparations between what you normally find in western style pho restaurants and what you find in Vietnam. The quality speak for itself, everything was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. If you are anywhere in central Montreal, this place is worth coming to.

Very disappointed, I went there because of the rating. The meat doesn't taste much. The vermicelli are overcooked, downright gelatin. There is a whole, uncut lettuce leaf. And since when do we cut rolls?
Not good, the vermicelli seems to have been soaked in water for 12 hours

It was very good and the bowl of pho was quite big.
My only downside is perhaps the meat used in the pho: sometimes a piece containing too much fat, sometimes a slice of what appears to be turkey baloney.
Perhaps another downside is the fact that the person who received us did not speak French at all and had to call another employee to his rescue.
Otherwise, I don't have anything else bad to say. It was a great experience that I would not hesitate to repeat, especially where it is located a few steps from the Cégep du Vieux.
Dietary restrictions: There are peanut sauces, I love it and I'm not allergic, but for people who are, it's important.

I really didn't like the food: beef Pho Hue soup and beef papaya salad.
In both cases, it was the beef/meat that I didn't like (too fatty, not tender, or oddly prepared and bad taste).
It's possible that I didn't like it out of ignorance. Finally, I would say that if you are looking for a Pho soup like those we know in North America, that is not where you will find it.
Otherwise, the service is excellent.
