This restaurant used to be good when I went 5 years ago. Now the taste is more bland and ordinary.

It might be a family owned restaurant BUT the food went down so much! When the two sisters were on their own it was great but since the brother (or maybe cousin) is there, it has become quite bad. The food quality is very poor. Even the lettuce is pale yellow with brown ends. The Nuoc man sauce is mostly water and sugar. Same with the peanut sauce. The meat is extremely greasy. I will never go back there. Sad.

Family-owned restaurant, right in the heart of Chinatown. We've been eating their pho for years now and it's still excellent (especially their grilled chicken pho).
Although the place looks kinda old, the service makes up in niceness and efficiency. You'll be in for a good meal for a very reasonable price. Recommended!

This is a very solid pho place in Chinatown. Decently priced, good fast service. The pho is amazing and the combos are also great if you want both pho and a meal. Go to spot for comfy pho when it is pretty bad outside!

The pho is very generous and tasty 100% recommend it but what truly made the experience special was Hannah (Or Anna) she is truly a spectacular hostess and treated us like family I can't stress more how everyone should give this Gem a try. Definitely will come back!

Today I ordered grilled chicken RICE bowl and I even re-confirmed with the cashier lady that I’m ordering grilled chicken “RICE” bowl, the cashier lady said.. yes okay. It was a take out.. so when I came home and opened my food, they gave me GRILLED CHICKEN NOODLES BOWL. I’m soo upset, I didn’t get what I originally ordered and paid for! 0 zero they don’t carefully listen to customers when ordering!

Pho Bac 97 has always been one of my favorite spots whenever I visit Montreal. It is right in Chinatown, which made it really easy to get to since our hotel was only a few minutes away.

The people here are honestly the best part. The owner, the male staff, and Hannah were so sweet and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away and it’s clear they can connect with anyone because they switch so easily between English, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, and probably even more languages. That kind of warmth really makes a difference.

We ordered two Pho Dac Biet XL bowls and one Bi Cuon roll, and with taxes and tip it came to around $50 for the two of us. The food was comforting, flavorful, and authentic. As someone who is part Vietnamese, I really appreciate when a restaurant captures those traditional flavors, and this one absolutely does. At the end they even gave us fortune cookies, which was such a simple but thoughtful little touch.

I’ll be honest, there is a strong smell around the bathroom area that can be a bit distracting, maybe from the age of the building or cleaning issues, but it didn’t take away from how kindly we were treated.

I still want to give five stars because this place feels special to me and the staff treat you like family. Thank you again for such a lovely experience. Sending love from Candy and family from Toronto. 😋🍜

Today was a crowded day, usually my friends would eat there if we are in China town cause it’s just that good, but today, the server was extremely rude to us for some reason: he acknowledged us 3 times but didn’t came take our orders, served somewhat late and worst of all, when we paid (cash only) we gave 50cents, what we usually gave and they complained about the small amount and called us shameless. But here’s the twist: some of us are not even teens, so it’s clearly hate towards younger generation. So if you go there, look at least older and intimidating and tip like 30% or they’ll roar at you.
