It almost felt like it was embarrassing to be there.
Not a single smile, even unpleasant. Maybe 5 words for the whole service. Meal ok, nothing more.
Really annoying atmosphere, no music and only sizzling or squeaking noises…

A restaurant still close to the Berri UQAM metro station and a little small.
I had called to make a reservation but the day we arrived, it was like they never called. In addition, I asked if we could arrive in advance since we were a group, I was told yes but we had to wait at the door for them to open at the usual time.
The grilled chicken vermicelli with roll was still good but the vermicelli cooked too long (soft). There is a big improvement in service, there was one person who wanted to change their mind/ask questions and it was not welcome. Even when it came to paying the bill, the same person who was the waiter and the cashier didn't have a smile at all and as if he was being disturbed. You should definitely not go to the toilet, which is so tiny that you can't even turn around.

If service was only friendlier...
Well, we're not going to lie: we come neither to smile at the restaurateurs, nor for the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, but for their cuisine and for the price that goes with it.
In terms of quality and price, it's my best choice in Montreal.
For less than $18, you have:
- 1 noodle + chicken soup
- 1 spring roll
- 2 huge slices of marinated beef
- 2 huge slices of chicken
- rice (or vermicelli)
- 1 salad
And if you add $1 you get a big prawn skewer.
It's just unbeatable and very good, that's it.

This Viet place is well worth the visit. Their soups are different than the usual Viet restaurant in the city. They have a special every night for 12.99 with soup flavors that are all extremely tempting. The owners are nice and there to cook good meals. I came once when I was sick and their broth was the best.
