I regret not reading reviews before eating here.
The food is horrible.
A freind ordered lasanga which was lukewarm which he sent back but when it returned back to the table you could see it was clearly reheated in the microwave.
The mac and cheese was disgusting. Not even sure what the sauce was but it was not cheese, it looked like Kraft dinner and it was uncooked, crunchy actually.
The pizza was very good but all items on the menu are extremely overpriced.
Gave 1 star because 0 isn’t an option.

The bartender tried to scam me last night.
Woah, I just read the other review about a potential scam on the same night. I was not with them and experienced a different scam with a cocktail. To the manager, maybe check your employees.

I went to eat at Moretti Griffintown on Monday evening! I really enjoyed my experience! I asked for linguini Carbonara pasta, something which is not on the menu but which the chef made especially for me and it was incredible 🤩
The impeccable service of my waitress Arianne, always ready to respond to my many requests with her magnificent smile. Good atmosphere and good music.

A welcome by a gentleman with a toothpick in his mouth, smartphone in hand, then a waitress worthy of a peepshow on vulgar silicone, on the plate 3 lukewarm chops for 33 dollars, and the final bouquet, she screams when we pay without tips , .... in short the whole team outside.... for the moment it's me who is saving myself...

The food was delicious! The calamari was incredible, with two amazing sauces to accompany it: one mayonnaise and one fig. I had the truffle mushroom burrata pasta. The pasta, mushroom and truffle sauce were incredible! On the other hand, my burrata, while not sour, was on its way to being sour. I will admit though that most of my friends had burrata in their plates and they were apparently delicious so maybe it was just mine. My friends say the vodka pasta, diavolla pizza and the burrata pizza were delicious. The Ceasar salad was great, but the portion size was small for the price.
To finish it off, we made a reservation for 7:30pm, and were only given our table at 8:30pm, which lost one star straight off the bat.

unprofessional service and manager, with roudy atmosphere (and not in a fun way) we waited over 30 minutes for the table we reserved. This isn’t a fluke apparently it’s a common occurrence, it’s because they only reserve a table for 2 hours, which isn’t enough time especially for a big party. It appears like they tried to squeeze as many reservations close together as possible.

Service was really bad. Our server was Ariane. At first, she kept asking us if we were ready to order, I told her that we needed 2 more minutes politely, she rolled her eyes. Then, the workers kept looking over our table, trying to get rid of us because they had a reservation at 9pm, while we where there at 7:30pm. The whole time, they would remove plates out of our table while we had a little bit of food left in it. Usually, you're supposed to ask before taking the plates because we weren't done. The food was extremely overpriced for what it was. It was really basic, nothing special. At the end, we were rushed to leave, we didn't have time to take any pictures or anything. The waiter, Ariane, brought the machine for us to pay. They told us paypass didn't work, but thankfully 2 of us had our cards since my other friends only had their cards on their phone. I insert MY credit card in the machine and I put 10% for tip because the service was really bad and the waiter SNATCHED my credit card out of the machine and told me I had to put minimum 15%. Then, she put the tip herself for my other friends. First, she's not allowed to do that. According to the law, you have the choice to tip if you want to and put how much you want. Also, she felt entitled to decide how much we had to tip since we're 17-18, but I've been to other restaurants before and this never happened to me. Definitely never coming back.

I am very disappointed with the experience that my 18 year old little sister and her friends had at the Moretti Griffintown restaurant to celebrate a birthday on December 7, 2024. Upon their arrival, the waitress Ariane and other employees seemed stressed by their presence, probably because of their youthful appearance. They were in a hurry to order as soon as they were seated. When they asked for 2 minutes to decide, Ariane visibly rolled her eyes, which made them very uncomfortable.
When one of them asked a simple question, like “How big are the lamb chops?”, Ariane responded in a condescending manner by saying: “Well, how big do you think that is?! ”, as if they were supposed to guess. This lack of respect really ruined the birthday party and overall experience for these young girls.
Worse still, she brought the bill without them asking, as if she absolutely wanted them to leave. And when it came time to pay, they wanted to leave a 10% tip, which is their right, especially given the quality of the service. But Ariane pulled the machine out of my sister’s hand while she was putting in her card, saying: “No, no, no, it’s minimum 15%.” She then imposed this tip on the machine herself, making each girl pay individually to ensure they received a 15% that they absolutely did not deserve. If they had liked the service, they would have tipped 18% or even 20%, knowing them.
I am a regular customer of Moratti and Sophia and I am disgusted with this experience. These young girls, from wealthy families and accustomed to restaurants, know very well how to manage their decisions without needing to be treated that way. There was no justification for this attitude.
Because of the quality of service from this type of employee, I will no longer recommend this restaurant chain to those around me. I'm writing this comment because my sister wouldn't have done it, but such an experience should never happen to anyone.
