Lots of restaurant choices in old MTL, but this was best choice for kids aged 4-5 in terms of menu options. Sure, fast food is in area. But to have adult patio experience while the kids have chicken fingers or plain pasta for a more affordable price...very good restaurant choice. Staff were really great and accommodating, and the sangria variety was tasty! Perfect for a hot day. Loved our lunch here with our family group.

Promptly seated with my group under the canvas covered patio with my group on a hot and steamy Montreal summer day. We were quickly attended to by the wait staff and the drinks the bus boi was quick to provide refills of our water, when required. I would recommend Place 419 for drinks and a break from the throngs of tourists snaking through Old Montreal, if you don't mind sitting amongst them as well. Not a place frequented by locals - it is what you expect for a restaurant...

Unlike many reviews here, my boyfriend and I thought the service was good. Food came quickly. The portions were just right so that nothing is wasted which is probably why people have been complaining about the portions. We did have an entree though so maybe without that, the size of the meal may not have been sufficient. Fried calamari was great, so was the salmon and the bulldog margaritas which I recommend!!!
