rosy is the best
Served rotten oyster that had to be pointed out to the person shucking the oysters. How do they not recognize this? Not safe. Avoid.
Lobster rolls are so good! Bit pricey but so good!
Incredible Greek style octopus salad! Lobster rolls is a must! The owners are wonderful!
Honestly my favorite bite of the market were these fried calamari. Didn’t feel oily at all, so well seasoned. Pricey, expect to pay $22 Canadian or so for what you see in the picture
I bought their lobster roll for $25 and was extremely disappointed. The portion was tiny (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture), the lobster was tasteless, fishy, and rubbery — like it had been cooked ages ago. It was soaked in so-called “butter,” but had zero creamy butter flavor — just straight-up oil. Shortly after eating, I ended up with diarrhea.
The service was even worse. The guy who was supposed to call my name for my order didn’t even try — instead, he asked the lady at the counter to do it because he “struggled” with my name, and even complained about it. Meanwhile, I watched them cheerfully call out other customers’ names and even wink at some. It felt rude, unprofessional, and discriminatory.
For the price, quality, and treatment, I will never be back.
Expensive for it is. Small quantities but tastes good.
Very tasty fried seafood! There was a lineup but it’s worth the wait. The batter was very light and crispy and the seafood wasn’t fishy. Would eat again.
Poissonnerie Aqua Mare at Jean Talon Market was a tasty pit stop. We grabbed an order of fish and chips, calamari, and fried smelts—everything was fresh and cooked just right. Seating near the stall was limited, but we made it work. Overall, a solid spot for seafood while roaming the market.
Good fish & chips, great atmosphere. All good, but nothing extraordinary or unforgettable…perhaps ambiance. Ordered fish & chips.

It is a must in Montreal during summer.
I bought two and a quarter pounds of crab yesterday thinking the crab season is just starting and must be very tasty, I'm from NB and know my seafood. I arrived home to start eating and to my disappointment half of them were unsalted and tasted very blend and the other half was ok, I think they mixed the good crab from NS with some tasteless and unsalted crab from another country on purpose so they can sell rapidly. Very disappointed for paying full price $35/pound. They lost me as a customer for sure.
Offensively ill-mannered. One star purely for services.
Horrible service. We asked if they were open as they seem to just open up, and the woman at the cash frowned and gave us an angry look, saying, ‘For what?’ Completely random aggressiveness for no reason. We left, and they won’t have my business. Very disappointing
Great place for a quick bite. We ordered the Calmars et Crevette. Fresh, warm and tasty.
