I should have visited this store before. The fish is fresh (unless smoked, right) and the quality exceptional. I am happy I found it. A little seafood salad or a nice filet, if one is in the area do not miss the opportunity...
Great quality seafood! I always get my fresh and frozen fish from Shamrock, and it never disappoints. The fish is super fresh, well-packed, and full of flavor. Their selection is amazing, from wild-caught salmon to fresh oysters, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely my go-to place for high-quality seafood in Canada. Highly recommend!
They go above and beyond to make sure you leave happy, even remembering my usual order!
WARNING: What a disgusting place that sells old seafood. See photo below of the clams that were just purchased today- the first one I opened was rotten inside, something I have never seen before. The rest of the clams wouldn’t open, so they were all dead.
When I called, they told me they would offer a credit. What a joke, return your customer’s money if you sell old seafood, something that can make you very sick. Shamrock is a SHAM. Go buy your seafood elsewhere!
After purchasing mussels of which 3-4 were not fresh, a new experience with prepared octopus which could not be eaten the next day because it had gone bad. The freshness of the products really seems not to be up to par. To avoid.
I bought a striped bass for dinner, asking for it to be as fresh as possible, and this was approved by the person serving me. Arriving home, I lift the fish and detect a smell of cleaning product coming from the flesh of the fish. After cooking, it was even worse: a musty smell emanated from it. Especially for $41 this fish was horrible.
Very disappointed with the scallops. Contrary to what is advertised, they mainly contain béchamel, cream and mashed potatoes: 3 mini shrimps and 1 mini scallop. At $12-13 per unit, it is not the level of a fish market product.
Great customer service, with good advice on which fish to get.
Unfriendly and does not respect Canadian law on price errors displayed

Really good quality of produce. I bought fish and prawns from here and they filleted the fish very nicely and gave it to me.The staff is really friendly. Maria was super helpful when I lost my bus pass. She contacted me via Facebook and I was able to get my bus pass back.
The best choice of fish and seafood at the Jean Talon market. Regular fresh arrivals and excellent service.
