We both had the Escargot- excellent! Hubby had swordfish(catch of the day) also excellent. My Piri Piri shrimp and calamari disappointing. Not much of either and sauce not exciting. (Had their liver and raspberry dish last visit which was great) Chocolate Mousse and Creme Caramel flan were very good as was coffee and tea selection. Wine was nice recommended Duque de Viseu . Too bad we cant find it at the SAQ. Lovely atmosphere. Full course offered. Give it a try.

We were down at the port for the total solar eclipse and having dinner here topped off a SPECTACULAR day. Delicious food served in appropriate portions and cooked perfectly! Amazing staff that were friendly but not intrusive and the atmosphere was calm and comfortable. Looking forward to visiting again on our next trip to Montreal.
We went early, just before 6, as we had other commitments. The restaurant was quiet with just a few early diners. The service was outstanding with the recommended bass and cod highlighted. We ordered both as we were mostly eating fish on vacation. Both meals were delicious with flaky, fresh fish perfectly prepared and presented. I had the Portuguese soup and my companion a salad. The soup was new to me but tasty and a good start to the meal. We chose a bottle of white wine had a leisurely meal with the attentive waiter friendly and happy to converse. We rated the restaurant a 5/5 because of the ambience, service and food.

My family and I had a fantastic time at Porto Mar, we tried various traditional Portuguese dishes and they were all authentic and savoury. If you get the chance to stop by please try their dessert pastéis de nata!
Catch of the day was excellent. Dish with too much calamari and only three shrimp. Waitress was by herself, unable to successfully service everyone. Dishes came one by one; not together with both diners.
